I’ll take my gtr or my fbo eagle eye sti with tein coilovers and a bunch of other suspension mods so i can laugh at your 4 cyl rwd mustang… i don’t need to understand… i want a mustang, i got the V8, i want turbo noises and agile chassis, got the sti… want the monster engine with the agile chassis, got the gtr… even the gtr is less than 200 lbs heavier with almost double the power and traction… so, your point… pointless…

first, as others have noted you moved the goalposts to built cars.

second, you have a four digit S550. great. nobody cares because you traded some degree of reliability for speed OR you've zoomed right passed this 45K mark because it has everything that power level needs. including the cost of time in R&D.

third, you get what you pay for and a fox platform car with 45K worth of work in it won't be as nice as a new S550. the platform itself is the limitation. IRS, everything from maximum motorsports, built motor, and none of it matters because at the end of the day when you fix everything ford did wrong you're right on the knife's edge of it being a race car.

sounds cool until you want to drive it a lot on normal roads.

fourth, again i almost got a GR86 because of how good they are at that price point. its the best 30K coupe out there. period. the EB's are faster but the 86 has a LOT packed into that price point.

the point here is this: for 45K nothing being manufactured today is as good as a PP1 mustang GT.

The Ecoboost disses are expected here, but you likely baffled a few "five-oh or die" types here with the parenthetical part of your comment! You might be the first I've come across to imply that the coyote engine doesn't sound so good... , so that's probably why some folks reacted.

What is the first engine mod the guys with the giant Coyote stickers on their cars' quarter panels do? Remove exhaust immediately.

At the end of the day, we're all here because we have a common interest... driving cool cars. It's alright that your preferences are all different. This weird need to be so competitive in here is unnecessarily stressing you all out when the reality is your common interest could be bringing you together. Just something to think about.
