I am debating the same thing right now. Living in CA I want something CARB approved. I did the whipple route before and see edlebrock has theirs CARB approved as well. Besides that it seems no one else is going to go that route. Anyone else heard different?

Most should end up with a carb kit.
Whipple Paxton. Vortech. Procharger. Roush.

You’ll love it the g3 kit can make 950 plus wheel and ESS is the easiest kit to install.

There all great kits procharger, Whipple , Paxton vortech etc. but I’ve been super impressed with my ESS kit. Most hp for the dollar for superchargers.

Im saving up for an ESS. After going through all the threads on here seems the most promising for the $. Had a Whipple on my 14 & loved it. Was thinking Turbo this time around but $10k avg for most oiless is way out of my price range.

guys have been ran in the 8s on a Paxton as far as 10 years ago. And made over 1000hp.

and less $. The kit has proved itself thousands of times over

I know there’s a few guys pushing the Ess hard for them. We will never be undersold on a Paxton / vortech over Ess.

I think that’s pretty strong too considering the Vast dealer network and support that vortech and Paxton has

The Ess is a fine kit. But the Vortech in Paxton just as it has been for the last 11 years is the best bang for the buck

What’s the price of your kit that will make 1000 whp. ESS is $6495 with 1050 injectors. Then of course you’d have to buy fuel system for e85.

I get a good bit more for the same kit to make that power .

different engine calibration
If it's not a physical change it doesn't make a difference. You have to tune the car anyway so whatever calibration that is comes with from the factory is going to get erased.

I know your job is to promote the ESS anywhere and everywhere but plain and simple I will never be under sold on a comparable kit

it won’t happen ever, I won’t let it happen Vortech and Paxton won’t let it happen I will never be under sold I don’t care what a kit is advertised at

I choose not to violate map like ESS is, they violate map on their advertising

anyone can message me any time

I own my company. And I am vortech / Paxton largest dealer. We will never lose a sale to ess on price.

Get your panties out of your ass, I’m not here to promoting anything. ESS post the price on website that anybody and everyone can get I try to buy comparable kit off yours and it’s more expensive by a good bit. I’ve always said all kits are great procharger , Paxton etc. So is the ESS.

The tune that is supplied with a complete kit for an 18-21 will not work for a 2022.

I always run the supplied tune. My cars are factory stock cars with a blower, so the supplied tune is perfect for me.

I have zero interest in the ESS systems. I am sure their product is a quality product. I am just an old school Mustang guy and like to use parts that have a long history with the Mustang hobby.

I have a 95 cobra 347 stroker with vortech s trim . I understand where you coming from.

There all good kits so you’ll not go wrong with any of them. I took a chance with ESS and it’s been great.

If you’re going to do the work yourself and don’t need CARB compliance then ESS is a great option. Easy install, great price. Not much history in the mustang community but they are established in the Lamborghini and BMW market. I’ve been very impressed with the kit so far.

Id figure out what is most important to you. A rowdy wild car that makes a ton of tq and hp down low/mid range (PD blower-Whipple, VMP, Eddlebrock) or a steady more linear power curve that drives similar to an N/A car ( centrifugal blower-Vortech, Paxton, ESS)

For me it came down to the VMP Odin or the ESS. I ended up with the ESS because of the weight, price, ease of install, and so far positive reviews.

map policy prohibits it. ess has no dealer network for the coyote. so they can price whatever they want. i understand the marketing, list at a lower price. and go around all the dealers.

the problem is you don't really get support or alot of help out of most shops without having a dealer support network.

ID for example has a map price on injectors, ESS is clearly violating this policy. at some point, enought dealers will complain to ID and this will change.

We have to honor the pricing set. Doesn't mean we can't sell for whatever we want. But we can't advertise it. But most guys know by now a simple DM or call and they'll get the hookup on pretty much anything
