I found myself in following situation: half a year ago a car came without keys, I've found a specialist who added the xhorse key as a third key without any problems. Recently I decided to make another key on exactly the same xhorse trinket. I went to 3 spcialist, none of them could register either my key or their Chinese keys ("key programming error"). The last "specialist" decided to simply copy my woking xhorse key, in the end it worked on closing 1 time, after that the buttons on both the old and the new key stopped working, but the car still started with the key inside, both with the new one and with old . After that, he removed all the keys from the car memory, but he hasn't been able to add new one anyway. So now my car is won't starting/closing. Maybe anyone came across such situation / know what it might be and how to fix?

How did you get a car "without keys"? Is this a salvage?

Brought over from Ukraine by the liberating army, perhaps?
Brought over before Ukraine thing. I think liberating army is facing more important deals to deal with rather than steeling salvage cars.
Btw I'm not into politics

Neither am I, but this isn't politics.
Besides, living myself in a country that has suffered the same kind of Russian "liberation" more than once over the past two centuries, and which, for all we know, could very well be next on the Russian "liberation" agenda, I think I'm entitled to a bit of sarcasm at the very least.

Anyway, back to the point, I believe the IDS can program a new key even without having an already programmed one at hand. But access to an IDS requires a Ford dealership, which I understand isn't available over there. Failing that, I think you may get around this issue by replacing the PCM. But that's expensive, and besides, you'd need either an IDS or a tuning device to program it for your VIN. I'm not sure if ForScan can do that.

Thanks, Vlad. I'll consider my options. My acquaintance've just gave me contact of electronic specialist who specializes on mustangs. I'm gonna show him my car. I'll write the results here later if there'll be any.
