Thanks! I should have been more clear on my price comparison in that I paid several thousand less than MSRP on my GT where as I didn't see it was likely to get a similar deal on a Mach 1 any time soon.

Congrats on your ride man. I still get that smile every time I take her out and put her in SPORT + mode or put it in "MY MODE" when a cop rolls by.

I built a "MY MODE" with the quiet start exhaust set to ON for when cops drive by. I mean when I'm on the highway for a 3 hour commute to the cottage LOL

A little background, I have always had GM cars, Camaros, C7 Stingray & currently a C7 Grand Sport (family works for GM, so discount...) & have never even been in a Mustang...until I was on vacation last week.

They gave me a new GT rental and it was a blast to drive....I have loved having the Grand Sport but am at a point where I want to move to something more practical (back seat for my grandson, winter driving restrictions, pain to get in/out of....etc.).

The Mustang exhaust note is intoxicating and makes it feel even faster, lol.

Hi - Three years ago I switched from a Corvette to a new Mustang and am very happy with my decision. I was 78 at the time and the Mustang, with standard seats, was a significant improvement with respect to entering and exiting the two vehicles. The wife agrees. No adults have been in the back seat, just a granddaughter, groceries, etc. Make the switch…. Bruce

Congratulations on your purchase. As an owner of a GT optioned just like yours (minus the AE), I know you're going to love it, and you got the best new color IMO. I have had mine for going on 2 years, and the thrill of driving is just like the day I brought it home.

Today is the 1st day that I really get to enjoy driving it as the weather here in MI has been so cold that I had to wait until I got the all season tires put on late yesterday.

It really is a stark difference as far as how comfortable it is to drive and so much easier to get in and out of.

Funny thing is, since family members have worked for GM and I always have got the GM discount, I have never owned a Ford (or even been in a Mustang)......until I went on vacation a few weeks ago, I had paid for a economy car but the guy working the counter said "hey what kind of car you want, just pick something...", so I said "how about a sports car?". He said "ok" and next thing you know I had a new Mustang GT with about 2,000 miles on it to drive for 4 days (and walking back to get it, I realized there weren't any others available, so I am not sure why he even offered it).

Needless to say, that chance happening is what sparked my interest to sell my C7 & get the Mustang. I had already been thinking about it mostly because of practical reasons (we have my grandson quite a bit these days and I could only drive the C7 a couple times a week, with no backseat and all).

I never expected the bonus of really enjoying driving the Mustang and not missing the C7.

Funny how life works sometimes.

Hi again - I haven’t had a Ford since my rusty ‘55 convertible during college in the ‘60s. It was a stick with glass packs and sounded quite similar. That memory came back as soon as I drove away from the dealership. One of the nice surprises about the Mustang was that the trunk is quite spacious, but not so big that my wife takes it on shopping sprees. Another age friendly feature is the memory seat. One of my Corvette buddies also acknowledged that the exhaust note is so good, there is no reason to alter it. Here’s a guy who had put Borla, Corsa and Billy Boat mufflers on various Vettes he owned. Everyone has different sound preferences but I have settled on Normal as my go to choice and very occasionally will use the quiet mode which is not completely quiet like my Impala. Guys, don’t criticize my preference, I’m 80 years old without the need for hearing aids. I’m only using mine during the non-salt season. Enjoy, be safe and be healthy… Bruce

Stop with the tracking stuff. Good lord 98% of folks dont track their Stangs. Get what you want; the M1!

At the End of the day, you will have post buyers remorse if you don't buy the car you like, and want, and can afford. Good Luck
