My buddy has the same car in white. I've never driven it but rode shotgun in it last summer and the thing pulls for sure, handles like it's on rails, and I personally think it looks great. Will I buy one? Probably not, just because it's not my style, but doesn't mean I can't appreciate it.

Supra was in the final three cars I was considering before I bought the Bullitt, and my favorite for the driving experience.

Ultimately I didn't choose it for three reasons. First was the lack of rear seat and reasonable cargo space. The second was The limited gauge cluster information, and the killer was the inability to drive with the windows down.

The other car in serious consideration was the M2 competition.

In the end the Bullitt brought more to the table for what I wanted to include lower entry price insurance costs, and long-term cost of ownership.

The supra is a fabulous car hope you really enjoy it!

I read that about the windows down noise was unbearable when this car first came out. Is this still the case OP?

I figured it would get plenty of hate, but honestly, driving it and talking about it are two different things. I enjoy it quite a bit more than any vehicle I've owned, BMW or not. I don't regret my choice one bit.
Congratulations! I’ve always liked the Supra and RX7. I’ve also wondered if/when they would come back with the potential that they once had with the turbo models. Are they squeezing big power out of them with mods? I’m sure you’ll find out, once you check in with the Toyota community.

uh, the DRIVING is the be-all end-all of the fun. What is this utilitarian mode of transport nonsense you are spewing? For everything else there is a class-1 hitch and/or bicycle rack. :)

Come on TRD put a bloody stick (or sequential) transmission in the car already!
This was the last *proper* Celica/Supra. All the round beanie cars that came after were not Supras. They were predecessors to the '86

Does the body shape remind you of say the S550?

There is a 84 Celica Supra for sale not 5min from me. I'm very tempted to get it.

To be frank my hate is just about the name plate, not the car itself. Same with the Mach-e, great vehicle sure, just to me shouldn't carry the name it does as it doesn't match up in key aspects.

AMS makes great stuff.

To me the fact something so small can solve the issue that MANY complain about just boggles my mind why BMW/Toyota didn't just do it.
The more annoying part is that the previous owner put something similar there to deflect the wind and I went wtf is this? I took it off/trashed them. /facepalm

In my defense they modified wind deflectors from another car and they did not look great. But after taking them off I very quickly discovered why they were there lol.

I must say, after owning it for a week there are some creature comforts that I miss. I love this car and have zero regrets, but for such an expensive vehicle I think they could have included some of the following:

Heated steering wheel
Leg room
Easy exit/enter
AC seats (even though it's winter, I used them often)
A much better entertainment system that was easier to navigate
My digital dash
Visibility
Easy fill gas cap
Puddle lights

Things that kind of make up for them:

A gorgeous heads up display that shows media/speed limit/speed/navigation
Wireless carplay
Wireless charging
Very low modding costs for 500+ hp (intake/downpipe/tune)

I’m glad you’re happy OP and I’d actually love to own one but I think you’re comparing apples and oranges here.
The Supra should be compared to a corvette not a mustang.
Just my 2 cents

I'm comparing two cars I've owned, I have nothing to compare it to from a corvette standpoint. Trust me I'd love to lol.
