If you were buying a stripped GT with one option what would it be?

My GT A10 did 11's when bone stock, no need for tune or anything else to get 11's.
Gotta love that A10 for drag racing. :like:

What do you guys think of these wheels?
don't bother with wheels narrower than 9.5. Unless you just want looks and not performance. You *might* have to drill the holes to get 14mm studs thru.

Speed of the current Mustang was never in question.

Don't believe everything you read. šŸ˜„

A little perspective.

3.31 is a cruising gear. On the strip these ran 4.56 gears in many cases
Transmission and rear end choices will bring that into the 11s

I understood it well. I was there.

Your dream is still alive.
Here's my bone stock 18 GT with 800 miles on it racing a 70 Buick GSX for comparison.

I want better performance and looks. What's wrong with a 255 on a 9? That's what's on front of my PP1. I know the rear is 9.5 but I can't do a 275 on the rear without programming. Programming wouldn't be that big of a deal I guess. I wouldn't want to go wider on the rear than a 275 because of rock chips, and I wouldn't want wider than 255 on the front. I actually think the PP1 wheels and tires are perfect for me, I'm not looking for the ultimate performance, just a bump up.

255 on the front is too little tire. you don't need to program anything unless you're OCD about speedo. If so then get Forscan, which you should get anyway.

I personally disagree. Last car I had with 275's on the front was scary on uneven blacktop roads. It would track with the road so bad it was scary. Didn't do that when it had 245's on front.

What size tires and wheels are you running?

for screwing around on city streets sure 255 will be fine. 255 will also fit fine on 9.5"
My point was buy wheels at least 9.5 wide and not piddle with 9" which doesn't move the needle any.

i have 9.5, 10 and 11. 275 minimum size. If your 275 are tracking road imperfections in a concerning manner there's something wrong with your alignment.

Man, I remember back in the day you could order a notch LX Foxbody pretty close to this. It would have been close to what I would have wanted as well.
Remember the '95 GTS? It wasn't a big seller. It was a V8 Mustang in a stripped v6 chassis so no fog lights, no spoiler, manual windows, no rear defroster and worst of all, those crappy, flat cloth seats. I think Chevy offered a Camaro similar to that recently too.
Yes and yes on both comments above ...

A 95 GTS is actually quite rare these days, I've only seen less than 5 ever come up online for sale. I believe there is one currently on eBay. I knew of a blue one that a prior Corral.net member had in PA, it was sold a few years back but it was mint and was never changed from its as built factory GTS form.

The 86-93 notch deletes are harder to find today too, but there are far more examples out there in the wild. Many were SSP's, and stripped down to just the basics due to service life applications. To find a "civilian" stripped notch is difficult because many owners modified them or added back features that were factory deleted (or swapped entire interiors). Definitely lightweights of the day...

Ford should consider creating and selling a modern day lightweight GT...

Honestly if I order another GT (Sold mine, Dumb) it will be a GT 301a A10 (3.15 is ok but Iā€™d like 3.55, I can add a H pipe so I dont need to exhaust) other than that Iā€™m good

Dont get me wrong the PP1 is a great option but I can add wheels, tires and lower springs for $3000, granted no Brembos but I could live with that

Now if I found a nice used one?
PP1/301/A10/3.55/Exhaust

This biggest advantage with the PP1 are the 9.5 rear wheel, Bigger Drag Radial however going aftermarket 19x10 or 11 wheels let u run a rear 305 and that looks sick with a 1ā€ drop

Just look at my sig Pic

My car drive drives really well, tracking is excellent.
