You see how they mock? They mock freedom, which I’ll get to in a moment. They mock questioning “everything” because they are stupid; not ignorant, there is hope for ignorance. But stupidity is left in the dark dungeons of folly forever, and they have showed their stupidity proficiently. Of course, you can question gravity. Or the blue sky, the green grass, the stars in the galaxy. Anything you wish to learn about, you question. Even science, of that which is not bought and biased, questions itself. But to these stupid petty tyrants, to question means to defy. Defy their supposed authority. Which explains their mockery of freedom. The freedom to choose. The freedom to question. The freedom to think differently, to be different, threatens the tyrant, big and trifle alike.

Think nothing more of them than this: In their terrified world of what they cannot understand, which is dissimilarity, they are the ilk of those who fought difference (freedom and progress) through the ages. Those who enslaved the black, who burned the witches, who gassed the Jews, who attended the inquisition, those who showed no mercy to the Native Americans. They are the oppressors of freedom, no matter how petty.

Witnessed here by their arrogance and attitudes, I’d say they would have you and me and everyone who differs from them tarred and feathered, thrashed and disemboweled, swinging from the end of a rope till dead, had their way.
Ha ha ha... That is the funniest thing I'll read the rest of this year... I'm sure.

That confirms my point exactly......this was way above your comprehensive level!
All of your responses read like KD's burner accounts.

I do recall reading that and I was shocked that some people would feel that way...... If a recall it was some of the crew members.....maybe Circle Jerk or GT Phony. But not 100% sure......and don’t have time to go back and search.
I've never said anything along those lines. You're obviously a reincarnated troll ... or maybe just a sk47 sock puppet. 😄

I am still guessing about the misinformation tactic as the mods have yet to let me know what led to my removal from that thread.
Because all you did was post up links to absolute nutjob BS trying to bolster your narrative. They removed those posts and kicked your ass out of that thread, now you've infected other threads like a virus.

This is what is said about the vaccines is below -- not sure what is so difficult to understand. If (last time I looked) 80% of people in hospital are unvaccinated, then 20% had at least one shot (I'm going off memory here... not wasting my time looking up anything, because it won't matter with you... you will believe whatever you want. And that's that).

COVID-19 vaccines are effective at preventing infection, serious illness, and death. Most people who get COVID-19 are unvaccinated. However, since vaccines are not 100% effective at preventing infection, some people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19.

Just because you said something does not make it true and people should listen. What you stated above is not only false but dangerously false.
why are you claiming that covid vaccines prevent infection, when no one of authority is willing to do so? furthermore, it is flat out a lie to say that MOST people that get covid are unvaxxed. no disrespect, but have you stopped paying attention to the numbers over the last couple months? the numbers of people vaxxed with covid positive tests is breaking records. this is such a weird point to argue as no one is disputing this other than apparently on this board.
what in my post that you quoted is dangerously false????? there are segments of the population that are statistically not at risk from covid. you dispute this? if not, what reason is there for them to get vaxxed if the virus poses essentially no risk to them and more importantly they don't want the shot?

I don’t have time to research to see if it was you.....if it wasn’t it was another nut job with the same beliefs....

CDC data shows that unvaccinated are outpacing the vaccinated by far when it comes to Covid infections and deaths.

Prevention: When was the last time you read the CDC website? That is where the italic part of my post is from. I guess they are not an "authority"? Vac vs. non-vac: read GTpony's post.

Again, you are pushing a false narrative with misinformation. It's a fact....

what in my post that you quoted is dangerously false?????
Most of it.

Stats are fun to play with... not sure what you mean here. Can you clarify?

Ok, my apologies. I may have misunderstood your meaning.

I don’t think anyone is disputing this point. The simple fact is that you can either A) get covid and refuse to be vaccinated, therefore exposing yourself to the unnecessary risk of getting it again, or B) get vaccinated/boosted as required.
To be clear, previous success with the virus isn’t necessarily a predictor of future success. The viral dose plays a role in “how sick” a person might become. Until you can know that you, as an unvaccinated but previously infected person, had a high dose of the virus, you’re just guessing as to how it might play out next time around.
you are saying that the vax prevents you from getting covid again. this is simply not true. this WAS the story up until recently when it could not be ignored any longer.
you are correct in that previous success isnt necessarily a predicator or future success. however, from the start it has been reasonable to assume that the virus will continue to mutate, producing weaker more transmissible versions of itself. this is usually accompanied by previous infection/recovery leading to improved odds against future variants. we are seeing this play out in real time now. those with prior natural immunity are faring very well with the omicron variant while the numbers of vaxxed individuals testing positive are rapidly increasing, often in places with the highest rate of vaccination.

I don’t see the value in vaccinating “everyone” either. I’m happy to let the medical fraternity work out who it is and is not suitable for. I don’t care for opinions that aren’t based in science or opinions that are based on ideological ideals.
Those who wish to have their ideology are welcome to it. Society doesn’t have to tolerate those ideals though. That is how society works.
that is not how a free society works though. if you would like to live somewhere that is controlled by a ruling class that determines what medical procedures you must have you are free to think that way. there are many places on earth where that might be accepted. this is not one of those places.

I’ve not yet seen an example of a person being forcibly vaccinated. You want to drive on public roads? Get a drivers licence. You want to work in proximity of other people, get vaccinated. It’s a choice. You might not like the consequences of that choice but the choice exists.
There are some scenarios where I will 100% agree that mandates have gone too far, but those examples are limited and based entirely on the risk of exposure to others.
right, no one is forced to do it. you just might not be allowed to work, buy food, leave your house, etc. think about the number of people you seem to be comfortable with backing into that corner. is that really a road you want to go down? consider this same argument on a subject you are on the other side of and your feelings might be a little different.

I think this is a strawman.
There isn’t a single vaccine that prevents 100% of infections. Anyone making a claim to the contrary is full of shit. Even the polio vaccine is only ~ 99% effective.
As I showed earlier, the covid vaccines CAN prevent infections, but like all vaccines, they have a limitation or efficacy as we might call it. To say that they can’t is utter crap. There are mounds of evidence showing that they do. Why? Because they trigger the natural immune response that you so dearly cling to as a form of defence against the virus.
Franky, your claim here looks a lot like something you’ve been told to think rather than something you’ve actually spent time thinking about. If you’d spent any amount of time considering it, the answer would’ve been quite obvious.
the classical definition of vaccine is that it prevents infection. are there breakthrough cases that can be found if one looks hard enough? sure i'll grant that. you're not going to try and argue these particular shots are anywhere close to 99% are you?
this "claim" i made is just me repeating what we have all been told. the vaccines were marketed as the way out of the virus. they were supposed to protect from the spread of the virus. can you point to any study or even claim from when they were first introduced that made it clear we would be looking at a potential never ending reliance on booster shots, possibly up to 2 a year? if so i'll gladly admit i'm wrong. they appear to be requiring more frequent boosters than anyone previously imagined and still, do not prevent infection. i have agreed in this thread that they may prevent a given individual from getting hit by the virus harder than they otherwise would have. but that is in no way preventing infection or spread.

Good lord. This one stems from a basic lack of knowledge of other countries. Most countries have opened up, that is, they’ve come out of lockdowns now that the vax percentage has hit the targets. THAT is why cases are through the roof. It’s also why the unvaccinated are now at a mush higher risk in those countries than they were before.
Just look at Australia as an example. We were doing lockdowns as soon as cases hit TINY numbers. Vax rate kicked in, she’s all open. Oh, and there’s a new variant on top of that reopening,, so it makes sense that CASE numbers should skyrocket, just like they would’ve if we hadn’t played the lockdown game at other points in time.
wait a minute. vax rate hit the target, and cases are skyrocketing? how can that be if the vaccine is preventing infection? if case numbers don't mean anything, why are we even bothering with testing? certainly by this logic anyone that has been vaxxed to a satisfactory degree should be immune from all testing going forward. with limited numbers of tests those would be better saved for the unvaxxed population that needs them correct? odd that they would also need the tests in the first place if they are that sick, no? it should be obvious they are positive by how sick they are AND that they are unvaxxed to covid.

I get it. Everyone wants to play the game.
I have a friend who’s 60, male, diabetic, obese, smoker, big drinker. These are the conditions that I KNOW of.
He’s not getting vaccinated either. He’s convinced himself that the risk of death is 0.5% or less. I point out to him that the figure he’s quoting is the average. His lifestyle doesnt put him anywhere near that likelihood.
his risk of death is greater than .5% without knowing anything else about him.
i am close to half his age, do not drink alcohol or smoke, i am 6'1 170 and exercise. my sugar intake is low and not even close to being diabetic. i don't think him and i are a great comparison. either way, he is free to make his own decisions. who are you or i to tell him what he must do? if we're going to start mandating shots then i want some say in what others eat and drink at the very least! long before covid they have been clogging up hospital beds and dr offices and thats clearly not fair to society. they should be forced to give up tobacco, alcohol, unhealthy food, and perform rigorous exercise daily. or, is that too far? we can shut otherwise healthy people out of society because they don't want to take this shot for the greater good, but we can't mandate other types of health for the greater good?

So here’s the real question.
The vaccines have been readily available for some time now. People are still making their own risk assessments and dying from their poor choices.
What specifically makes you any smarter than them?
are you suggesting that everyone that has not gotten the shots is merely lucky? it cant be that their risk determination led them to a different decision right? at some point enough people are going to have survived infection without the vax that you may be forced to revisit this stance whether you admit to it on here or not.
as far as being smarter than anyone, that doesn't concern me. what i care about is my own health and that of my family. that is my primary responsibility. i put energy every day into being as healthy as i can be. i have somehow managed to not die from covid up to this point. i'll leave it up to you if that places me in the smart category. perhaps you can do that evaluation in context with the unhealthy fat fucks i see at the grocery store waddling behind a shopping cart full of garbage food proudly wearing a mask that proclaims boosted. am i smarter than them i don't know, but i know who i would rather be thats for sure.

No, I’m, not saying that at all. EXPERTS have repeatedly demonstrated that this is the case. I understand that you don’t want to accept it, but facts are facts. I even quoted the figures for you earlier.
Here’s some figures again, just so that we can be clear on this point.

“All three Covid-19 vaccines available in Australia at the moment are equally effective at preventing hospitalisation, ICU admissions, and death. The three vaccines are Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Pfizer

They are very good at that. Where they differ in effectiveness is their ability to prevent infection. Pfizer and Moderna are slightly better than AstraZeneca at doing that. So that’s stopping you from getting any infection at all. Astra and Moderna are approximately 80% effective at reducing your chances of you getting infected. AstraZeneca is about 67% effective.“

You want to argue the point? Go argue with the experts.
I’m not responding to the rest until you acknowledge that you’re demonstrably wrong on this point.
This isn’t controversial.
Yes, the vaccines are less effective against omicron. Agreed. But less effective doesn’t mean completely ineffective.
