It is shocking to think there are people in this world who care so little about others. That is what society is based upon, without any consideration for others we are no more than savages. Even some primitive animals care for others in their flock and defend against a common enemy.
Hello; I went back to find one of these sorts of comment. In this one it is how some of us do not care about others. In other posts it has been that if you do not get the shots you want others to die and therefore you do not care about others. Even folks who survived and had a natural immunity must get the shot for the sake of their fellow man.
Here is the point. How many of those spouting these ideas got on board with the do not give an covid infected unvaccinated person a hospital bed? I recall a few.

have you noticed the factual statements that i have repeatedly made that are simply ignored? its like pulling teeth to get anyone to respond to why the claim keeps getting made in here that the vaccines are preventing infection, despite cases going up. everyone now knows vaccinated people that have since contracted covid. the statement that they prevent infection is simply not true but has been used as a reason to push the vaccine on those who statistically are not at risk from covid, against their will. if we're going to be concerned about facts, that seems like kind of a big topic to address in a thread about the vaccine don't you think?
This is what is said about the vaccines is below -- not sure what is so difficult to understand. If (last time I looked) 80% of people in hospital are unvaccinated, then 20% had at least one shot (I'm going off memory here... not wasting my time looking up anything, because it won't matter with you... you will believe whatever you want. And that's that).

COVID-19 vaccines are effective at preventing infection, serious illness, and death. Most people who get COVID-19 are unvaccinated. However, since vaccines are not 100% effective at preventing infection, some people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19.

Just because you said something does not make it true and people should listen. What you stated above is not only false but dangerously false.

Not your typical rambling BS again. Been shown over and over that a booter shot benifits people who have "natural immunity" (which isn't that great really) obtained from having Covid.

Ok, my apologies. I may have misunderstood your meaning.

it is true that immunity does not last forever as we are seeing. natural immunity has been shown to last longer than vaccine immunity. natural may provide you with antibodies for lets say 6-12 months where as the vaccine antibodies are decreasing in effectivity quicker.
I don’t think anyone is disputing this point. The simple fact is that you can either A) get covid and refuse to be vaccinated, therefore exposing yourself to the unnecessary risk of getting it again, or B) get vaccinated/boosted as required.
To be clear, previous success with the virus isn’t necessarily a predictor of future success. The viral dose plays a role in “how sick” a person might become. Until you can know that you, as an unvaccinated but previously infected person, had a high dose of the virus, you’re just guessing as to how it might play out next time around.

no one is making my mind up for me. as stated above, i do not see the value in vaxxing EVERYONE. and threatening people for not getting it is immoral and wrong. the only talking point i see is this repeated claim that the vax prevents infection.
I don’t see the value in vaccinating “everyone” either. I’m happy to let the medical fraternity work out who it is and is not suitable for. I don’t care for opinions that aren’t based in science or opinions that are based on ideological ideals.
Those who wish to have their ideology are welcome to it. Society doesn’t have to tolerate those ideals though. That is how society works.

most of which have died SINCE the introduction of the vaccines. neither you nor anyone else has the authority to force medical treatments upon those that do not want them, especially for something that they are not at risk from.
I’ve not yet seen an example of a person being forcibly vaccinated. You want to drive on public roads? Get a drivers licence. You want to work in proximity of other people, get vaccinated. It’s a choice. You might not like the consequences of that choice but the choice exists.
There are some scenarios where I will 100% agree that mandates have gone too far, but those examples are limited and based entirely on the risk of exposure to others.

the experts promised that the vaccines prevented infection. they were wrong.
I think this is a strawman.
There isn’t a single vaccine that prevents 100% of infections. Anyone making a claim to the contrary is full of shit. Even the polio vaccine is only ~ 99% effective.
As I showed earlier, the covid vaccines CAN prevent infections, but like all vaccines, they have a limitation or efficacy as we might call it. To say that they can’t is utter crap. There are mounds of evidence showing that they do. Why? Because they trigger the natural immune response that you so dearly cling to as a form of defence against the virus.
Franky, your claim here looks a lot like something you’ve been told to think rather than something you’ve actually spent time thinking about. If you’d spent any amount of time considering it, the answer would’ve been quite obvious.

if the vaccine is the way forward, why are countries with almost universal vax programs seeing record numbers? doesn't sound like much of a way forward. i see new york isnt fairing to well either today. pretty high rates of vax there as well.
Good lord. This one stems from a basic lack of knowledge of other countries. Most countries have opened up, that is, they’ve come out of lockdowns now that the vax percentage has hit the targets. THAT is why cases are through the roof. It’s also why the unvaccinated are now at a mush higher risk in those countries than they were before.
Just look at Australia as an example. We were doing lockdowns as soon as cases hit TINY numbers. Vax rate kicked in, she’s all open. Oh, and there’s a new variant on top of that reopening,, so it makes sense that CASE numbers should skyrocket, just like they would’ve if we hadn’t played the lockdown game at other points in time.

i assure you i have no tension or discomfort lol. i'm perfectly at ease with my decision to not get the shots. if i see data that makes me think the virus poses a greater risk for me i'll be the first one in line i promise you. but i will not take it under threat of force. does that fit your definition of cognitive dissonance?
I get it. Everyone wants to play the game.
I have a friend who’s 60, male, diabetic, obese, smoker, big drinker. These are the conditions that I KNOW of.
He’s not getting vaccinated either. He’s convinced himself that the risk of death is 0.5% or less. I point out to him that the figure he’s quoting is the average. His lifestyle doesnt put him anywhere near that likelihood.

So here’s the real question.
The vaccines have been readily available for some time now. People are still making their own risk assessments and dying from their poor choices.
What specifically makes you any smarter than them?

Hello; Interesting. I even spelled out the point of my post using the words
" Here is the point. How many of those spouting these ideas got on board with the do not give an covid infected unvaccinated person a hospital bed? I recall a few "

Even so you missed the point entirely and went to something else.

You're really loosing it, lol. Go look at what part of your post I replied to. Had nothing to do with your comment in this post. Guess you found a new thread to troll in. 🙄

You seem to lack the ability to comprehend the English language. His post are very straight forward and easy to understand, but for some reason you can’t grasp It. Then all the insults and questions come out.....typical Response

I do recall reading that and I was shocked that some people would feel that way...... If a recall it was some of the crew members.....maybe Circle Jerk or GT Phony. But not 100% sure......and don’t have time to go back and search.

Hello; The way it seems to play out has been to push a narrative. A two pronged narrative I guess. One part is to claim I post misinformation over and over again the other part is to claim I am trolling. The goal apparently being in hopes the mods will hear it often enough and take action.

The Tactic may have worked in the "science is cancelled" thread. I refused to be drawn into a name calling exchange which resulted in at least two of the members being removed from that thread. Apparently one used a P word and the other a popular slogan. Of interest is how the many pages of name calling directed at me did not result in any of those calling me names being removed from the thread.

I am still guessing about the misinformation tactic as the mods have yet to let me know what led to my removal from that thread. I was searching for information on potential problems from taking too many doses of a medicine. In that search I did find the material but also ran across an article which seemed to have relevance. I posted both links at near the same time. Being the last things I did before being removed from the thread.

EDIT = I was looking for the medical term "original antigenic sin" when I made my last posts in that thread.

Hello; Yes, there is again selective memory loss. That was around the same time period some were cheering about the naturally immune losing their jobs if they did not get the shots. Made national TV news also. Was a popular point of view for a while.

Along the same line as the catch phrase "pandemic of the unvaccinated" has quietly been retired now that there are so many "crossover" infections among the fully vaccinated.

You see how they mock? They mock freedom, which I’ll get to in a moment. They mock questioning “everything” because they are stupid; not ignorant, there is hope for ignorance. But stupidity is left in the dark dungeons of folly forever, and they have showed their stupidity proficiently. Of course, you can question gravity. Or the blue sky, the green grass, the stars in the galaxy. Anything you wish to learn about, you question. Even science, of that which is not bought and biased, questions itself. But to these stupid petty tyrants, to question means to defy. Defy their supposed authority. Which explains their mockery of freedom. The freedom to choose. The freedom to question. The freedom to think differently, to be different, threatens the tyrant, big and trifle alike.

Think nothing more of them than this: In their terrified world of what they cannot understand, which is dissimilarity, they are the ilk of those who fought difference (freedom and progress) through the ages. Those who enslaved the black, who burned the witches, who gassed the Jews, who attended the inquisition, those who showed no mercy to the Native Americans. They are the oppressors of freedom, no matter how petty.

Witnessed here by their arrogance and attitudes, I’d say they would have you and me and everyone who differs from them tarred and feathered, thrashed and disemboweled, swinging from the end of a rope till dead, had their way.
