Good day friends,
I have read all topics regarding this on the forum, all stating that ford has 4 types of dashes (mph auto, mph manual, kmh auto, kmh manual), and it cant be changed. in my country everything is in Kilometers, and i find it really annoying that i can show only small km/h digits.
Recently I found a video on youtube , the guy is switching MPH to KM/H in Saudi Arabia. i contacted him he explained that he reflushes the software of another region.
Video where guy changes MPH to KPH

Please find link above , is anyone aware of how to do it, and is it safe? As I can see on the video his Mileage has changed, and the design changed too.(looks like bulletin design)

Thanks in advance !
Cheers from Azerbaijan

Indeed, as far as I know you can only do this by uploading a different firmware version to the IPC. I don't know if this can be done with ForScan (broadly speaking it can't, though apparently some newer/beta versions are able to flash at least some of the modules). Otherwise you need UCDS. Or the IDS, if you can find a Ford dealership that's willing to do this (they usually aren't).
It is safe, provided you do it right. That is, you use a good laptop (no crashes or power failures during the reflash), with an up-to-date ForScan/UCDS/whatever version, and, most importantly, you make sure the firmware you're uploading is truely compatible with your IPC. That is, you download it from a trusted source, and it comes from a Mustang of the same type and generation as yours.
That being said, I did reflash the IPC in my Mondeo to get extra features. It's no big deal.

What's interesting is that his speedometer, once flashed, goes up to 300 km/h. The stock km/h version is only 260. So what firmware has he actually flashed?

Ah, yes, that makes sense. It must be from a Bullitt. I didn't think of that.

You can find more about the UCDS, and also buy it, here:
https://www.ucdsys.ru/?page_id=115&lang=en

It's a very capable interface. I have no personal experience with it (a friend of mine has, and it was he who did the IPC reflash for me). As far as I know, the Russian guys who make it are very good and trustworthy, and so far I haven't heard anything bad about it. There's also a discussion forum which I understand is quite good.
The UCDS software is able to connect to some mirror servers and to download precise firmware versions for most modules, which you can then flash into your car.

But maybe you can find someone local to you who has experience with these things. There must be a local Ford community. And wherever there's a Ford forum or community there's always a chance to meet someone who knows their way with ForScan or UCDS.

Too bad for me that ford is very rare in my country, and mustangs are even not officialy sold here), i will try to search in russian forums,'gladly it is my native language,' even though i am not from Russia :)

I had a hunch you'd be OK with Russian. :)
For the rest of us there's Google Translate, but of course it's much better if you can read and write directly.

One thing to be aware of - if you decide to buy a UCDS, buy it directly from them, on their website. There are cheaper clones on the internet, but most (if not all) of them won't work properly. And telling a clone from an original isn't always straightforward.
