i have a post in warranty section, but its the 2-3k rattle... last attempt fix was the cam phasers but a "spring flew out" and they need more parts... Buyback with Ford Corp has been started...
Man, that's terrible.
Good luck. I hope you get your car back soon.

Absolutely terrible.
We just got a coating on the lawns and vehicles down here in the Gillette Stadium area.

Drove through a snow storm, I'm glad that I swapped the summer wheels and tires last week! But I wish I had been able to find some snow tires rather than all season on the winter wheels. It was okay, but the highway got a little icy and I think that snow tires might have been better in the couple of inches of snow that had not been plowed or salted.

Takes a while for the diff to come up to temp when it is only 28 degrees, and it cools off quickly when you stop to go in to the store.

No bueno!
You're telling me!

They have 2 track events in them, i.e. open track. But then you'd expect even wear if they were properly rotated, which they were...
I'm gonna contact Michelin. I mean come on, 20k miles and this is pathetic. Suggests tire defect more than anything.

I'll always be glad to see posts of people putting on winter booties and driving it in snow. So far haven't had clearance issues with snow last year, no snow in OH yet this year.

Wanted to wash it but it's cloudy and 56F, TFC, so I drove it dirty. I'll have to stay on back roads so no one will see the dirty car.
Lot of people will probably call me a heathen, but something about the Bullitt with winter wheels on and a bit dirty - reminds me that I give 'er hell even in cold.

Carved some country rounds after a round of golf in 40F and damn, the Sotozzero 3 winters are FANTASTIC.

The uneven edge wear is from the aggressive wheel alignment - the Bullitt alignment specs might be more aggressive to start with. Plus those tires are soft for high performance traction. Have you ever had the alignment checked?

Right, am aware of the softness of the compound, and also shouldn't they wear somewhat evenly through both front wheels? This would suggest I was making all right turns at the track, seeing as the wear is on the inside and more weight of the vehicle on that edge? I might be stupid tho.

But good point from you on the alignmemt. I think rear was checked, but maybe not front.
I guess it would have to be pretty bad to wear that uneven, no?

Wear on the inside edges like that is from lots of negative camber.

Discovered this on my stock Pilot 4S, between swapping to winters this is on one tire after about 20k miles....

If you are buying winter tires, maybe you can spring for another wheel set too?

I run two wheel sets, both are 19x9.5 square setups. PS4S for the track wheels, all seasons are on the daily set. If it was me, I would put A/S on the Bullitt wheels, and then find a good deal on roller forged track wheels. You can put the same size tires on all four Bullitt wheels because the 1/2" width difference will hardly be noticeable. Then you can rotate front to rear for longer tire wear. (You may need some slip-on spacers.) Go to square setup for your track wheels because the front tends to push as it is.

I went to Belle Tire to have my alignment checked for free. Eventually I became familiar with the techs with the most experience on the alignment rack. I run stock camber at the rear, and ~ +0.08 rear toe. I run 0.0 toe at front and stock camber for daily. Then I run max camber (~ -2.6) for track day, via J&M camber plates.

My car had 0.2 rear toe on the right side from the factory, and I noticed the inside edges of my daily tires were wearing. I rotate tires often, so I'm not convinced that it is related.

@Bit_the_Bullitt Would still be great to meetup with you someday, although we now may need to wait for spring.

Started with the corrosion preventative to extend its life a little :

I used Lanoguard, similar to fluid film for you guys across the pond :like:

Lanoguard is made from lanolin and no joke, my car (and driveway) now smell like sheep / an old farmers Land Rover … :giggle:

I’m not relishing the thought of doing the other corners, but I will get around to them sometime

I will finish with the underfloor, hopefully on the lift at my mates garage :like:

Other side done, might as well make the most of my last weekend of isolation …
