Wonder if this will be the last year of the GT500 .
Well since 2022 is the last year for the S550, then yes this will be the final GT500 in this era. Will there be a S650 GT500. I sure hope so but with a SC'ed V8, well that's another story.

As far as I know the Heritage option won't be available as a CFTP. It looks like the only way to get a CFTP Heritage is to buy some tickets for the Heritage GT500 give away.
The is nothing in the order guide that says the HE is not available with the CFTP.

That's true, I guess we will know when someone orders a CFTP with the Heritage option.

I thought the Shelby American give away car was advertised as a HE CFTP car.

Well, I stopped in my dealer today to talk with my guy about 2022’s to see what’s up. Interesting facts were discovered:
1. The 2022 Order Guides for all Mustangs are available, to include the GT500 (as we know).
2. The order banks for all 2022 Ford vehicles are open, EXCEPT FOR THE GT500. We sat at the terminal and he showed me that it’s not possible to place an order in the system for a GT500. Can see all other versions of the Mustang (GT, Mach-1, Eco-Boost, verts, etc.)
— I was specifically wondering if it was possible to order an HE w/CFTP. He said the order guide does not prohibit it, so should be able to. But since the order bank is not open, he can’t tell for sure.
3. They do not have their allocations for 2022 GT500’s (they normally get ~8 per year). They do not expect to have their allocations until early 2022. No word on rolling over allocations from 2021 or 2022. Said that has not been done with GT350’s.

yeah this is very interesting bc many guys here and on facebook are posting their "build sheets" from their dealers and showing priority codes and sales codes and order codes and even calling into Ford Performance and getting verified that their order is "in the system".

but i am very sure allocations are not known yet; even zach at granger told me the other day. he said dealers can order 1k gt500s right now but they'll just be sitting until allocations are known. this makes the most sense to me, besides the fact that i trust him too.

I’ve seen build sheets (anyone can create those). But haven’t seen a DORA posted yet. It’s certainly possible the VIP system is active for those special cases.

I think I was relieved the order bank wasn’t open as I might have done something stupid…
