Looking for ideas for a 2022 purchase maybe 2023 with supply chain issues. I have lurked mainly here in the 350 forum but lurked lately at the 500 and Mach forums. I’m going to keep my 2020 HEPR but want something else to flog on.

Mach 1 seems to be a neutered 350 with the lower HP, Half Brembo package and GT front end and steering. Now add a whipple with the 6 speed perks my ears

GT 500 shares some steering components as my 2020 and I like the idea of a factory covered warranty on forced induction. Has bigger brakes for the added weight.

This vehicle would have to survive a daily drive in DFW with about 75 miles round trip. Think of base model 500 four seater. Give on this is the manual transmission.

After owning the 350 would there be any joy in a loaded out GT with a whipple?

The only logical replacement which is more $ is a GT4 and I have tried to mentally project what both vehicles in 20 years look like.

Thoughts and suggestions welcomed including constructive criticism.

What you think is the only thing that matters.

Thanks for the post. I’m not going to use one specific post here to formulate my ultimate decision. There is a lot of brain power and experiences here and I and going to cue in on what I read, hear and see to make my decision.

2015 GT350 R had CF Wheels and components. NA FPC Engine, Vehicle weight of roughly 3700 lbs.

What am I missing that GM has now done 8 years later??
It looks damn sexy even if it is 8 years late. I still think it would be fun to own one.

The Gt is still a very nice car. I have a 16 premium vert as well as my 350’s. I bought it before my 350’s. That said I don’t know that if it wasn’t a vert it would get much seat time with having the 350’s. If I was going to daily one of these I would probably go with the Mach1 and the auto. If I was really leaning to fi that car it would be hard to not just move up to the 500. By the time you got all the parts together to do a proper install your pretty close to the 500 cost. My biggest problem with dailying a shelby would be me being paranoid about it in parking lots. First world problems for sure.

My 2016 GT was amazing. I'll be quick to admit the M1 isn't night and day from the way my 2016 was. Someone is getting an amazing car.

Gt with a whipple will turn into a straight line machine but will never keep up in the corners. Best bet is to go test drive the cars and see if that supercharged power is something that interests you.

Gt350 is a good all around package and has usable hp. You can totally use the 700+ hp just not legally 😂

Hell I have a hard time using the NA 530 in the GT350 around town.

I guess I need to find a cars and coffee and take a run in a 500.

Totally agree with your comments therefore suggest that you take a serious look at a nice used 4 seat GT350 for your daily commute to work and back?

My 2015 GT350 has close to 14,000 miles on it and every time I take it out it still makes me smile and could only imagine driving it to and from work each day.
