Installed MMD Rocker Panel Winglets today. I had them home for maybe 6 months but I was too lazy to install them :cwl: Still I doubt that they are made by MMD and I think that the seller sold me some cheap Chinese copy. They came with no installation material, no instruction booklet, no box, just the winglets in bubble wrap. It should have been straightforward, but in the end I spent like 8 hours fitting them. Don't mind the body panel gaps. It's a feature 😑

Tried to install springs, shocks and sway bars in the rear. Only got one shock in. 😞 how the hell do you get the rear springs out? Was going to put in UPR subframe brackets as well. Come to find out I can't use them in conjunction with the Steeda alignment tubes I put in a couple of years ago. Or, I have to cut about 1/8-3/16 off the tube in order for the bracket to fit.

The top of the spring is against the body and the bottom of the spring is against the control arm. So dropping the subframe 1" gives you 1" more clearance. The control arm hits a stop against the subframe and the spring is still not quite clear. So I use something to help pry it out and over the LCA seat, such as the handle of my dead blow hammer.

I'm thinking about looking for super long M14 bolts from McMaster that can temporarily replace the 4 blue bolts to safely lower the subframe quite a lot. Might have to source all thread and nuts.

NO

I don't have a squeaking sound. Ever since I bought the car the driver seat has made that noise readjusting the seat, could be the motor or something is stuck under the seat that's making it hard to adjust it. If that was the problem it would of went out 40,000 miles or a year ago.

Ya definitely not ... I mean you were there and heard the noise up close, it's the seat itself. I haven't really looked into it because it doesn't bother me that much. But that sucks.
I have a very distinct seat squeak when moving seat forward (or if you have the "easy entry/exit" enabled which I toggled off). The cushion squeaks against the seatbelt latch so hard. Is even more pronounced after I had my cooling modules swapped (still sucks a*s anyway).

I picked up my winter tires and wheels. We had 45 degrees the other morning and making a turn the back started to move out on me. I drive the car year round so knew that I was going to have to get a winter set.

Found a guy selling some 2019 performance wheels with the all seasons on them and we worked out a deal. He even delivered them to me at my office. I was going to get some winter tires, but the guy who had those the wheels had been curbed pretty badly, the tires were dated 2001 and one was 1999 so they had to be replaced. Even if they weren't too old, the tread was worn down to replacement status anyway. So guess I will go with all seasons again.
Kudos for driving it through the winter. :) I am approaching having to swap in my winter set soon too, probably another month or so.

Losing it at 45F seems odd though, although I think generally 44F/7C is the switchpoint between ideal traction of summer vs winter wheels.

I was surprised that it slid a little, but the road was damp because it rained the night before.

And the car is meant to be driven so why not year round. Over the years of owning Mustangs I've always had them out in the winter, despite people saying they can't be driven in snow. I grew up with RWD and we didn't break out the horse and sleigh in the winter!

The only winter accident I ever had was with FWD. Couldn't recover a skid when someone pulled out in front of me and rolled it over.

Actually I figured it out! It's the seat rubbing against the center console because I'm so short and need the seat all the way to the front 😂 😂 😂

The key has always been the tires.

This is what I did over the weekend, after learning the pedal assembly isn't covered by any warranty and costs $$$$ to replace. I pulled it out myself (PITA and the worst thing I've done on this car) and had it welded back together better than how it left the factory. Once my Steeda clutch line arrives I'll throw it all back together and never deal with this again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
