Car is over 5 years old so I say its totaled with the amount of damage I see. While your airbags didn't deployed. There might be lots of under carriage damage. I say close to 14k in damage.
14k will not total it

The big question is if they TOTAL IT {WHICH APPEARS VERY POSSIBLE} . Are they gonna pay you the
higher price that these cars are bringing now or are they gonna "BONE YOU" with their 'ol BLUE Book " price ????? Glad you are ok . Damn 45 ??? MPH .. Looking at the car you are fortunate you ain't posting from the hospital { BUT THEY ARE ALL FULL OF COVID PATIENTS " } advise not to go there. Glad someone clarified "THAT" was MUD in driver seat .. Hope you come out OK with Insurance Pricks . STAND YOUR GROUND AND REMIND THEM OF THE 20-25% increase in car prices at this time .
Good Luck .. I mean it !!!! Junqdawg ... See if You can buy the "SALVAGE " back from them .if they total it.... Wrecking yards love those Mustangs and you might make some extra $$$$$. They don't like to do that but you never know .. Shop the Picture and info on car to local salvage yards and see what they would pay for it .. Just a THOUGHT .

I was on the way to work last week and hydroplaned going about 45 mph. Any idea on the severity of the damage? I walked away with just a few cuts.

You have to replace tires on time.

I live in CA with draughts and that made me think I should not worry about thread dept. I had staggered tires and my rears went almost to slicks, while fronts were half life.

Went fishtail on freeway entry ramp. The only thing that saved me that time was - I autocrossed my Mustang (and not only Mustang), so I had skills. I did not worry about Mustang though, I worried about my daughter that was in the car with me.

You have to replace tires on time.

And just as important, use the correct tire for the season. My S550 isn’t driven in the rain so I shouldn’t ever find out how the SuperCar 3’s do in rain.
My DD Lexus today though, I found out quickly via traction control, that that Nitto 555 G2’s I put on in the summer for occasional track duty, SUCK in the rain (today was the first day I’ve driven these tires in rain). Pick the appropriate tire for your area in inclement weather. I’ll be driving the Tundra on rainy days this winter.

Good tip.
I bought some new tires earlier in the year when a good sale came up - just had to decide the right time to put them on. I finally did so last month when I still had about 3 mm tread on the old ones, but then I felt like I might have wasted some decent tire life. This event reminds me that extra fat tread can be a good thing.

Your life is way more important than the car.
The car can be replaced/ repaired.
Glad youā€˜re ok.
