I loved Alcantara on my steering wheel when I had it. But then again, I'm a bit of a hand-washing compulsive. :frown:

You may not have had Alcantara bunch up your trousers so bad you have to lift your hiney off the seat to pull em back down. Loved the cars, but the seats....not so much.
One of the best things about my GT/CS seats is the Miko suede ( same as Alcantara). Maybe they sucked 7 years ago but mine are great.

Agreed, I have Alcantara seats (came with the carbon sport interior package) and love them. Comfy, heated/cooled, and don't seem to suffer from the sagging/wavyness the leather seat bottoms always show eventually.

Alcantara (Miko suede) is like microsuede. It's a synthetic polyester fabric. My opinion is that it makes a really nice substitute for the normal fabrics that are traditionally used in headliners, but I definitely prefer real leather when it comes to seats and a steering wheel.

I bought the GT350 wheel from Steeda. It has migrated across several Mustangs and still looks brand new. Not hard to keep one's hands clean. The mother superior made sure of that ....... šŸ™„
I have to believe the amount of skin oils and cleanliness varies a LOT. I had a Boss-302 wheel in my S197 and a GT350R wheel in my 2016 GT from day one. Still looks and feels great BUT I wash my hands before driving and must have dry skin. Not for anyone with oily skin, or who eats in the car or has to drive with dirty hands.

My greasy half-Italian ass would have that steering wheel nasty in no time!

The GT350 has an AlcĆ”ntara steering wheel as standard equipment… but I DON’T believe we get the heated steering wheel option.

Is that because they don’t offer us an automatic?
(I didn’t just type that did I…?)

I opted to not get Alcantara on my steering wheel, but my entire headliner and sun visors are Alcantara. Here's my steering wheel.
