Ok so I have a 20 GT automatic and I floored it to merge in traffic and it didn't feel quick. My older 16 gt felt like it had more power. My 16 flew me back in my seat when I floored it. Am I crazy or was something done to the 19-20s GTs to make it feel less powerful?

Gen 3s are quite a bit faster than the gen2s in most all regards. Something is missing here.

I would not say that a gen3 I quite a bit faster. A 2015 1/4 at 12.7 and a 2019 at 12.5 and 12.9 depending on trim so no exactly quite a bit

Most A10 cars I see are easily low 12s bone stock. Many in the 11s. That’s quite a bit faster than the A6 cars IMO.
Mine went 12.30 in the heat stock. Haven’t seen many A6 do that.

Nobody said a 6r80 would. But even 12.30 to 12.70 is no quite a bit

Well, we will simply have to agree to disagree. Where I come from, .4 on a naturally aspirated, stock vehicle, is pretty huge. People often spend thousands to gain a couple tenths.

2019 mustang gt 10r80 has a 1/4 mile time of 12.5 no stock gen3 gt has a 1/4 time in the 11s

Faster is faster for sure no doubt about it but to me quite a bit is at least three car lengths. People spend thousands for tenths on built cars that are taped out not on a stock mustang

Why is this even a discussion, and what does it have to do with forced induction?
Nothing, it needs to be moved to the peasant section.

When you floored it, did you give ample time for the auto to probe your mind, register the pedal, email Ford, receive the reply from Ford, measure atmospheric alignment, adjust trims, think about what gear is best for the situation, and then downshift? Kidding!! Fire suit on. Just a dumb manual man here stirring the pot. Surprised I’m the first. Carry on with your substantially faster autos while I go to my garage to play with my stick and make animal sounds.

You can deny reality all you want. We'll be over here. Driving our faster automatics. Auto Boys, roll out!
Damn it Mik! ā€œAuto boys, roll out!ā€ Really, that hits deep! On my way to the dealer now to trade my manual in for an A10 just so I can roll out like my Idol Optimus Prime. You knew this would get me!!

Heat soaked these gen 3 motors can feel pretty sluggish down low. They really have to pull timing and that really kills the torque.

Remember you feel torque but horsepower makes you go fast. Let that thing rev.
If you floor an A10 car, as I’m assuming the OP did…there is no down low unless you are at a dead stop. It’s 6k rpm+ anywhere else.
