I almost feel a poll coming on…

How many buyers of a S550 mustang considered resale value when buying..?
I thought the whole purpose of buying a mustang was that you have a gazillion options to personalize it, improve it and cater for your own needs.

A buddy of mine recently told me that Wall Street investors backing companies like Vroom and Carvana (which aren't making any money) and are driving up the cost of vehicles, just like they are doing to the housing market. They're playing with house money. This is from a 2020 article.

"Vroom has not been profitable since its start in 2012 and deficits have piled on to about $616 million as of March 31, the company said. In addition, losses have widened this year and dividends are nowhere in sight.

Net losses hit $143 million in 2019 and $41.1 million in the first quarter, compared with losses of $85.2 million for 2018 and $27.1 million in the first quarter of 2019, Vroom said.

Revenue rose 39% to $1.2 billion in 2019. For the three months ended March 31, sales rose 60% to $375.8 million, Vroom said."
Seems more like a weird money laundering scheme than an actual business, lol.

That's what the stock market is. Smoke and mirrors.

automobiles belong outside. :) This whole 'garage' thing is a post-modern aberration.
Company vehicles definitely belong outside. Right now, the company truck, then new Gladiator, amd my son's Fusion are all outside. Her Cherokee, the Mustang and all the crap I've cleanded out of the truck and my office occupy the garage. The Gladiator would be in there, but I need to clean up the space first.

One of the downsides of buying a modified car is that everyone has their own style... mine errs on the side of stock looking so I did a bit of work this weekend on my newly acquired '16 to revert to a more stock premium style.

How I bought it:

Started off with some Shelby CS14 wheels (I know they are heavier but I liked the look - I also prefer silver wheels)

moved on to some interior upgrade with a gt350 steering wheel, OEM leather heated/cooled seats, and gt350 door panels

and finally, ditched the GT350 style spoiler

Next on the upgrade list is the 8" sync upgrade, wiring up the heated/cooled seats, wrap the dash trim in gloss black, and doing a 18+ intake manifold.

Where did you get the steering wheel and spoiler at? Interested in both for mine

both the steering wheel and spoiler were FB marketplace steals. Steering wheel is OEM and the spoiler is the MMD by Foose spoiler from American Muscle.

Installed a Steeda driveshaft loop, and went from a 4.5" to 4.2" pulley on the P1X.

Installed my PEEPEE Radiator upgrade. What a pain in my ass. It's an easy job, except when your batch of spring clamps were made of CHYNAH's finest pot metal. I shit you not, the one holding the lower hose had the ear snap clean off before I even got close to getting it over the little catch to release it. GARBAGE. I had to carefully cut it off and then fight with the remains to get the hose off without damaging it too much. Took a few hours. The condenser tabs were also fiddly in my application, the fitting block was bumping into the bottom of the retaining tab which was not allowing me to lift the condenser high enough to release it. I had to get creative to actually get it off without breaking anything. So yeah, 0/10 experience. It's not like I'm a novice either. Oh well, at least we got to the end with some of my sanity intact.

I'll find out tomorrow what the (probably small) differences are. I don't expect to see much difference with normal driving, the thermostat regulates that for the most part. Where I DO expect to see some gains are when I'm hauling ass up a mountain pass. The stock radiator really didn't like that much, CHT struggled to hold at 225 the last time, and I've seen as high as 230's before. As long as I'm under 220 from now on I'll be satisfied. I only paid $250 for this shipped, so it was a "why not" purchase. Now I know "why not" LMAO.
