Just switch to Sport+ mode...it front loads the gas pedal to make it "feel" more responsive. In other words, it's doing the same thing something like Pedal Commander would do.

Hi. I only drive in Sport + or Track mode. Doing numerous WOT, Full Pedal and Off Pedal, going up and down in 7-9 gears the response is slow, and the transmission shifts are slow also.

Oh, I didn't realize it was an automatic car. Maybe the accelerator is programmed differently? My manual feels fine; Sport+ seems to make it very responsive.

Yes, Your manual would be instant. I have the A10 and is computer controlled. Take care

I have the A10 and always drive in track mode with the shifter in 'D'. From a complete stop, I mash the pedal to the deck and it just takes off like a bat outta hell. Try Drag mode if you want poop your pants (if you have that drive mode).

Get a real tune, none of that other phoney balloney shit is worth a dime. If it is not an HP tuners device or SCT device run as fast and as far as you can from it. Ortiz Performance and Wengerd tuning are probably the best tuners out there right now. Lund and PBD went to shit after the EPA fiasco.

I appreciate all help from all people. I have sent Wengerd and Extreme Tuning asking what they can do to correct not only slow throttle response but slow transmission shifts and the dead HP spot over 5k rpm. Thank you and others for your help.

I have a 16 GT automatic. I also wanted faster throttle and shifting. I tried a Pedalmax. It felt pretty good and helped but figured I will do it the right way and get a tune. I Purchased VMP and the PBD. I then did acceleration tests with stock, SCT preloaded 93 tune, PBD and VMP. I went WOT from about 2700 to 6800 with the livewire datalogging connected. I then pulled the data from 3000 to 6500 and charted it in Excel. The charts were virtually identical. Preloaded 93 tune was consistently a tenth faster then PBD maybe and VMP was consitently a couple tenths slower.

BUT PBD feels much faster, throttle is jumpy. It looks like the throttle tables are turned up. So from what I see, the stock tune with a pedal commander honestly does about the same result as a tune on a stock car. After 6500 the stock tune does go a little extra Rich though.

The PBD and the Preloaded tune are identical and VMP a little less on the attached chart. I did 2 runs of each and it was remarkably consistent.

I forgot to add, PBD has the transmission shifting lightning fast. Also a bit harsher then I wanted. I had then soften it a little for normal driving. At half throttle in 3rd it downshifted to 2nd then back to 3rd and had tire spin with a jolt. VMP shifting is very street friendly but a little too soft on shifting. I had them turn it up a little. Honestly I really might like the Preloaded 93 tune the best from acceleration to the trans shifting.

Thanks for the help. Where did you get your Stock Preloaded SCT 93 Tune? I am new to the Custom Tuning.

I had purchased a used SCT X4 tuner for $150. It was unmarried and reset to stock. This tuner will come with some preloaded tunes on it. It will allow you to select some options from the menu like CAI's, Octane and such and also allow you to change the shift pressure for each shift. There are a few other parameters but I didn't mess with them. I could not try Lund since they recently stopped using SCT devices. I forgot to turn on the graph for stock on the above chart but stock fell exactly on the PBD line.

Good to know about the SCT x4 tuner. What does PBD Charge for their Calibration Tune?

Here is the chart with the stock chart added. I've done this a couple times even different days and VMP always hangs a little lower. Also to add VMP and PBD I am running an 18 airbox and tube which they tuned for. It goes to show that up to these RPM's it is not helping at all even though it does flow a lot more then the 15 airbox. I changed to a K&N one time for the VMP and it did move the upper rpm up fatser but was slower at the bottom. I need to try the filter back to back a couple more times though.
