Not even. I typically don't keep cars very long, it's problem. I mean not a problem for me, but my other half. lol

I went through 4 cars in 1.5 years. The wife said if we were gonna get married I should stop switching cars so fast. And money, money kind of stopped me too. So now the deal is 100k miles before I get something new. Only 86k more to go on the mustang!

I travel to a lot of competitive shooting matches. Generally I have quite a few things I need to take, including guns, ammo, cart, gear, suitcases, etc. Based on my experience, the Mustang trunk will hold everything my Camaro trunk will hold PLUS one 2.5' by 1' by 1' range bag. Both cars get an undeserved rep for limited trunk space. Use a little forethought and you can get a lot of stuff in there.

Both cars get an undeserved rep for limited trunk space. Use a little forethought and you can get a lot of stuff in there.

The size of the room means nothing if the door to get in is tiny. Cam er oh has a smaller trunk opening by a lot. Mustang has a smaller opening than my wife's Honda by a lot. $20 + millage for a U-Haul box truck.

That said, the new mustang trunk is huge compared to my 1976 t/a's trunk.

Yes...no one. Not one single, solitary individual. No one considers these cars as daily drivers. Or lets them ever see rain/snow/falling leaves. No one.

If trunk space is that high on the requirements most move on to other type vehicles.
Most buyers, look at performance and such as a higher up requirement over trunk space.
Has nothing to do with if they daily it. or use it year round.
I doubt but could be wrong. but I doubt anyone looked at the trunk of a pony car as the make it or break it, on buying it or not.
Heck, I didn't even look at the spec on the trunk size.
I do know the c8 designers were told it had to be able to hold 2 sets of golf clubs.
Maybe it is just me, but if I knew I needed a large trunk because this was my daily year round. I would be looking at other vehicles.
Maybe I should buy a 4 door because a 2 door + a baby seat is pure hell. yup, I'd be in the market for a different type vehicle. same with those that need to carry 200+ lbs of crap in the trunk .
Having worked as a dealership tech. Most trunks become a catch all of crap, to be forgotten about till they go to trade it in. or it gets totaled.
I would rather a smaller trunk, if it got me a spare tire.
Not a fan of the no spare trend in new vehicles.
I'd put a spare over the trunk size if I had a choice in the matter.

If I can get 2 front drag wheels and tires in the trunk, you can get a spare in.

yeah first time I took the 'maro to Aldi and tried to put a tray of yogurts in the trunk, I realized I had never even opened the trunk. "Well, damn!" but then I realized how often do I buy a tray of yogurts that couldn't just as easily been dumped into a plastic bag? And then I drove home like a nut, enjoying that sweet, sweet V8 sound emanating from my GT350-equivalent car that was 20 grand cheaper to buy.

I wanted the best of both worlds.
That's why I brought my Mountain bike to the dealership to make sure it fit before buying

I definitely can't fit one of my back tires in there, probably not a front tire either. The stock tires on a GT, maybe....

When you have an electronic rear differential different sized tires are a no, no.

I’ll start with saying that I adore the way the Camaro drives, it is really that good. Reasons I didn’t get one:

- I am tall and looking out the windshield was like looking out of a pillbox

- The Mustang has a better interior with great visibility

- The high revving Coyote

- Handling that is very near the Camaro without any of the other compromises

- Look at the Mustang and Camaro side by side, the Mustang looks fabulous while the Camaro looks… odd

That said, I would happily recommend a Camaro to a friend who was dead set against the Ford, it’s a great car if you can get over the looks and visibility.
