Anyone try the carwash touch less with extended chin splitter on , manual says No also vinyl stripes could bubble. I had an issue with bubbling on my 10 GT with stripes and was being especially careful to keep wand at least 18” away

I have used a wand for years on my 2008 Shelby GT500 and now the MACH 1, just stay back from the vinyl. I soap then spot free rinse then dry with micro towels. You wont scratch your car with a wand. I know all the pros hand wash but I don't. The Shelby looked like new after 10 years using a car wash.

Yes I think Ford is saying the touch less might not measure off right with the extended chin ground effects, I don’t have it installed yet because dealer had to order along with fender well strips

You may find the type of chemicals in those touch-less car washes might not play well with the vinyl decals.

".......... three types of cleaning agents. The first is reactive type cleaners (Acids, and alkaline) the second is bonders (phosphates) and the third is associators (surfactants, and solvents)......"

It's the alkaline part that would worry me, this will degrade your paint protection, especially waxes and sealants.

Auto car wash! Whaaaat?

I'm spoiled. I use a gas powered pressure washer, foam cannon, and gas blower. I love my ceramic coating! The dirt just sloughs off and the blower dries it completely. If I keep up on it I don't have to touch the car.

Are we talking a touch less car was on a track or a self wash where you change the modes on a sprayer and do everything yourself? If it’s the latter that’s all I do and I’ve never had issues with my stripes and I spray them down good every time.
