I recommend the "hair dryer and patience" approach. They're a bit tougher to remove than the dealer stickers!

I was planning to remove the vinyl, but after seeing her in person, it breaks up that hood....my only issue is that they used the same black/red vinyl on the sides as the silver and white...maybe it will protect from the rocks

Understood. But when I compare this hood with the ribs that run down my 2015, I feel it needed the additional lines of the stripe. Plus, my first car was a '69 Mach 1, so the matte black on the hood is an essential element. Kind of like me adding the louvers on the rear window. My way of bringing even more of the "classic Mach 1" look to everything Ford brought into the 2015 redesign and the 2021 Mach 1 touches. In the end, each is our own car and make it what you want it to be. We all enjoy our Mustangs and that's what brings us together on the forum, at our meet-ups, and even just waving to each other on the road!

I dont get why they dont allow more stripe combinations. Like why:
No Black stripe w/ red accent on Race Red
No Black stripe w/ white accent on Oxford White
No Black stripe w/ Orange accent on ANY color but Jet fighter (this would look great on Twister Orange or Shadow Black IMO)
No Black Stripe w/ red accent on Grabber Yellow

I mean really if they let people do some REALLY ugly combos on the GT500 stripes from 2007-2013 then why are they limiting them on other cars?

Personally I'd order either Grabber Yellow w/ black/red stripe, or Shadow black with a black/red or black/orange stripe. And if I were buying a Mach1 and could NOT order that I'd be ordering the decals to have my detail shop apply them.

Also I think a Shadow black w/ black/red stripes and the red leather interior from a GT would look really nice.

Or the Grabber Yellow with Black/red strips and either Yellow or red interior stitching would look good.

No worries, I'm sure the after-market crowd is taking notes on our "replacement stripe" preferences. Personally, I'd love to see the red/gold reflective combination that was on my '69 Mach 1!
