Yeah I was actually going to buy that one but one of my detailer friends metioned the RV filter to me. Figured I'd give that a shot. How do you like it?
Gonna pick one of these up. I really struggle with water spots on my car. Thanks for the link.
I take it that everything went fine on the RockBlockz install?Installed my rock blokz and new motorcraft cabin air/engine air filters. Crazy how dirty they were when my car has only 8700 miles on it. Fire season is a bitch. Rock blocks install wasn't too bad, just takes patience. Cabin air filter on the other hand is extremely annoying, mostly because you'll be uncomfortable the entire time you do it. Everything is fiddly and you can't sit in a way that doesn't hurt your back. Removing the glove box is only really helpful for finding where the torx bit is (you can get it from below), and putting the little door back on. Filter has to drop out towards the floor behind the glove box, and go back in the same way.![]()

Yeah overall not too bad, I figured how how you broke one of the retainers doing the rear though. It's extremely particular about the size of hole you drill. I used a brand new 5/16 bit and just ran it through quick on the left side, and the retainer was a struggle to push through. On the second, I drilled a little longer, and it easily popped through (not loosely), but then I had to hold it from spinning while I tightened the screw.I take it that everything went fine on the RockBlockz install?
They look great!Welp, after today I can say that the guy that did the work on my car is an expert.
I ended up sticking with NTB and the store manager there who did the work has been putting on rims for 15 years and has worked with a variety of tire and rim combinations. Not one scuff mark was on my rims when he was done. It took all day for whatever reason (chain store, high volume, they're closed tomorrow due to Easter Sunday), but he didn't mess my stuff up, he took his time, and it all fit with no other parts needed to make it all work.
He straight up told me he'd rather be the one to do it because he knew the other guys in the shop wouldn't care as much as he did. So for that I gave him my appreciation and a tip for giving a damn.
Again for those who haven't seen my other posts in this thread, these are straight from the Ford catalog, their PP2 sized rims, 19x10.5 fronts, 19x11 rears wrapped in Michelin Pilot A/S 3+ tires, 285/35/R19 in the rear, 275/35/19 in the front.
The tires aren't as wide as you find on the PP2 but they look amazing in person.
Gonna clean the car up tomorrow and put a post in the wheel thread.

No problem! My goal here on M6G is to create posts that are as detailed as possible so that someone like me who has lurked forever via Google searches who is looking for information can eventually run across one of my posts and can hopefully have all their nagging questions answered with as few tabs open as possible. I am overly analytical and I’m sure I’m not the only one haha. I know how it feels to hunt for information and not turn up a complete answer so I try to be detailed as possible. They look great!
Certainly confirms my choice now. Thanks for posting the pics.![]()
