@FreePenguin - If I was painting mine again, I would flatten that internal writing :like:

Can you see the writing when installed? I assumed not
You can, but it is not very obvious.

Don't use me as a exact guide though as I have a 2015+ big mouth fitted into a 2018+ car.

I would try and find some good close up pictures of the same / correct combination that you have to check fully.

I know for the new / correct 2018+ combination its visible.

I uploaded an E30 tune revision from my tuner to the car and did datalogging shortly afterwards.

dropped it off for paint, I looked at photos, doesn't look like in proper 15-17 you can see the writing. I asked them the opinion, he said since the plastic isn't extremely thick, they'd rather not try and sand down the writing. few people said you can't see it, it should look good either way. when I receive it, I will put car on two jacks, pull front bumper, Dremel out the scoops with the little saw blades and re install.

question though. on photos, I see a little rubber flap hanging off the top, do I need to cut that back? trim it back some etc, or does it not impede anything?

this giant flap hanging over the top. do I trim it back or leave as is. I would assume trim it back

I can’t answer that sorry. My 20 had a similar flap and as the bumper had to come off before I took delivery, they let me take the grill for sanding and they fitted the big mouth when they put it all back together.

I don’t think they trimmed anything as I asked them if it was easy to fit and the response was that it was and that it just pushed in. I have a good relationship with the guy that did the work, I am sure he would have told me if he had to do any messing around with it.

I got my LTH x-pipe installed Wednesday afternoon, which made adjusting my parking brake handle super easy today! It also developed a bit of an exhaust leak from the forward portion of the pipe this afternoon, and I'm hoping it's just a clamp that's loosened from heat cycles.

how do you keep your wheel barrels so clean?
Just chiming in on this question, for wheel barrel cleaning, you need a brush like any of these -

Which type you use will depend on the wheel and brake package you have. PP1 Mustangs require the assortment I have to get clearance around the calipers.

The key is regular cleaning to avoid accumulating a build up of brake dust. I therefore only need to wash them with soap.

For wheels that need a bit more rejuvenation, something like Brake Buster will have them looking new again.

I also use a spray and rinse sealant to make future cleaning much easier. The beauty of this type of product is that it can coat the barrels with protection without having to remove the wheels.

Still waiting to see if anyone has ever actually used a tow hook on the front of a mustang before after lowering it. Is the car un-towable once it's been lowered? Anyone ever had to get theirs towed? If so, which tow hook is a good one?
