Same here. Costco has 87 & 93. I mix 'em for the Ram, roughly 1/2 & 1/2.Our octane levels out here go as follows,.......
87, 89, 93
sams club, 87/93 like 20cent difference between 87/93Same here. Costco has 87 & 93. I mix 'em for the Ram, roughly 1/2 & 1/2.
In BC and Alberta (not sure if they are further east or not) Chevron has 94 Octane with no ethanol added.94 octane. In some parts of Canada it is available at Petro Canada, Shell and Sunoco.
I run the Petro since the station is 2 minutes away.
If out of town I use a gas-finder app for stations that have 94. If none nearby I look for 93...then 91.
For the sake of only a few $$, run premium.
Never understood the concept behind sea foam, anything that makes an engine smoke like crazy can’t be goodmy Scion tC has like 175-180k or so. I tossed the BG 44k platinum off amazon in the tank, tossed the whole can in the gas fill. got lower MPG initially, (detergents) but the next tank, I got like a 5mpg boost. im getting 33mpg a gallon again its been solid ever since.-- definitely bought it back to life a bit.
I am weary about Ecoboost though, I tossed the proper amount of seafoam in my tank, and it ran like DOG CRAP. AFR's was spiking everywhere, I really thought it was going to blow. I was idling, it would drop to, stutter, afr was like 10-12-14-16-14-12-10-14-16-.
I hurried put it on the highway and did a cruise/controlled steady burn and flushed the tank out on a nice quick long drive. no wot' no playing. babied that tank
it doesn't make it smoke.. when applied in gas, its just a detergent/solvent or whatever.when you put it through your throttle body I think is when it smokes. older cars benefits a lot from it, but in a newer car it can break up things, and that isn't good to go through a modern engine from what I understand. you don't really want chunks of carbon deposits floating around engine.Never understood the concept behind sea foam, anything that makes an engine smoke like crazy can’t be good
Today's fill up saved me $5.60 which translates into a Dunkin' breakfast. There was a $0.40 per gallon difference between Costco and my local QT.sams club, 87/93 like 20cent difference between 87/93
Costco 87/93 same thing like 20 cents difference between the two.
but 93 is same almost same price as everyone else 87. blows my mind. no brainer.
