Call Steeda and ask them to ship you the hardware or go to a Fastenal store and buy it yourself. Make sure the bolt and nut are grade 5.

It's not my fault he lives down under. It's simple hardware he needs to just go buy it. This is simple nuts and bolts.

Yes in that the washer was not needed. I found this on Steeda’s website.

The color of the washer, shouts subframe support brace hardware. Washer for the MIA bolt ? No idea, why that would have been touch during the install.

Guessing they loosen or remove the hyme joint, cause they could be clueless .

As a side - the gear creaks a little under initial acceleration. Is that expected / normal under normal driving conditions?

The question there is was that happening before then upgrade attempt?

NO, hardware is hardware. There isn't any voodoo with Steeda hardware. You can buy grade 5 'flat nuts" at a hardware specialty store.

We have camping ‘gear’, swimming ‘gear’ etc

So I’m not sure if the OP is referring to the new Steeda ‘gear’ (or kit or components) that make the noise - probably because it’s not bolted on properly ?

I now know that ‘gear’ doesn’t translate well to American, it will be interesting to see how that fits in with Australian

As a side note I now see why I sometimes get a blank look when I say or ask for stuff when I’m on holiday in the states, or maybe that’s just my northern accent ...

The flat nut you point to should be used to bolt the second hole of the Steeda IRS brace. No idea why the shop would put it on the tow link but that is FUBAR.......

Of course you are right, but the Steeda kit comes with everything needed, and the question is WHY did the tech at the shop NOT use it where it should be on the IRS cradle and put it on the toe link? What else did the mess up?

Of course you are right, but the Steeda kit comes with everything needed, and the question is WHY did the tech at the shop NOT use it where it should be on the IRS cradle and put it on the toe link? What else did the mess up?

The shop owner has suggested that they have fitted the brace using all the supplied bolts - so i can only assume that perhaps the pack was missing two bolts.

Its going back in again on Wednesday - they are going to add in the two missing bolts directly.

I'm sure they did, but they installed it incorrectly. Explain why the flat nut is installed on the toe link? It's your car.

I'm not understanding one of the simplest installations could have gotten so screwed up. Can this shop figure out how to add air to a tire? I did both side on mine less than a 1/2 hr.
