Any other noticeable changes? Did you happen to see the rpm that the 6-7 shift occurred?
I just did a quick check to see if the 123 issue was still there. Next time I'll check more of the details. I didn't notice that the calibration in general changed much. Seemed to drive generally like it did before (at least in D & S+) which the Stage 2 is much improved over the Stage 1.

Yeah, I thought the 2nd version of phase 2 was much better than the original P2 cal....except that it had the 6-7 shift bug.

6500 is way to low for 6-7 shift

My advice: if it shifts into 7th gear, take your foot off the gas.

no need to burn your clutches up in warranty or weaken them so you have to pay for a transmission rebuild after warranty.

Anyways 123 is officially fixed, I’m unsubscribing

I'm going to keep quoting your posts so you have to come back! :)

Sooooo... Since none of the major tuners do a flex fuel tune for this system, do you still think it is safe? Why don't they want to done? Is it because people will still run 91-93 since it is a flex tune?

I would run e54 all the time if someone would tune it.

Most won't do flex tune for fi period. I know Lund will actually do a e54r tune for NA cars. One of the other guys locally here went that route. You could ask them if they would for fi too.

Our cars don’t have an actual ethanol sensor they use our wide Bands and some clever logic to infer a best guess of what the stoich of your fuel is.

i’m sure most people have seen that big name tuners offer a flex for Na and tell people they don’t actually support making changes to it if it works for you great if it doesn’t it doesn’t it’s not for racing it’s just to get you from one tank of gas to the other.

Basically the flex logic is not that accurate.

considering you Need to push the timing to get the most out of your ethanol fuel.

You can do this by letting the knock sensors add the spark timing or commanding it

Either way you wouldn’t want the computer thinking it has a better ethanol percentage than it really does in the computer automatically adding timing or the knock sensors chasing above what they normally would and then damage your motor.

And there are definitely people out there that will tune for e54

Think of it like this it may not be as good as E60 or E70 or E85

But it’s going to be better than 91 or 93

Looks like around 6500. 6-7
Damn! That is no good. Were you in drag mode or at least sport+? The original P2 tune was higher than that in drag mode.

Ah ya that's right. Shaun over at AED won't tune any 18+ FI unless its on race gas or e85. Probably just being cautious on the 12:1.

I’ll will check the other modes but I would have expected it to be at least around 7K. Not sure why it is so low.
