Well I found glenlivet 12, it was $47 for a bottle of first fill 12, the regular 12 was $45, so I got the first fill, it was only $2 more. How should I try it, on the rocks or just straight up?

If you have a BevMo near you, when it goes on "Club Bev" pricing, it's usually around $35.99 for Glenlivet 12 YO. For Scotch, I drink it straight up. The same goes for most typical 80 proof burbons. I also watch my local grocery store chain (Safeway) for periodical sales on booze too.

When I drink Knob Creek 100 and the 120 proof burbons, I add a few cubes of ice, to lessen the "bite" or "hotness" of them.

Well, appearance it looks like a gold rum or an anejo tequila, not darker like a traditional bourbon or whiskey normally looks like.. Taste wise it's not what I expected, it's kinda sweet and has a slight fruitiness that I can't put my finger on. It's good, but in a different kinda way. I'm totally surprised, it's nothing like you would think a scotch would be like.
