Yeah, it's the state bird.

More useful elaboration. Low DA=good. High DA=bad. It's basically a measurement of how good the atmosphere is for engines. Low temps, low humidity, low altitude all make the air charge going into the engine denser. Dense air makes bigger bang. In technical terms.
Yep. Expanding on that a little more is that low DA means there's more oxygen available since the air itself is more dense. Therefore, for a given flow rate in cubic feet per minute, you have more actual air mass entering the engine, and thus, more bang.

It's like the old school turbo motors. Once the 100 degree, 178% humidity goes away, this here Coyote dun woke up!!!! I've forgotten what 4KRPM to red-line is supposed to be like.

Funny, I started getting annoyed at the suspension, it wasn't feeling as planted as it should. Then I pumped the tire pressures up to 35PSI, and all the wiggle is gone. The pressures had dropped down to 29PSI with the colder temps.

And I'll be damned, but the MPGs sure have gone up too.
It certainly is fun to hear 'em breathe better. But then we'll get "winter fuel" and some of the edge will vanish.

Right now in Winnipeg it's sunny 53F and -215ft DA. I love the prairies haha.

Har. Here it's still 80 degrees at 1400% humidity and 8:00 pm. Hurricane Delta is passing a hundred or so miles to the north and dragging most of the Gulf of Mexico with it.

And the wintertime tires go on. I like the PS4S, but it's like a ball bearing when it gets below freezing.

Well, technically, it's not a "bang" at :sunglasses:

My car feels faster in the heat because it hooks better. lol.
Winter performance tires. I love these things. The car feels like it grips better in 20° to 30° temps than the michelin's do at 80°

What are you running? I use Pilot Alpin 5 tires in the winter, which are really good when it's cold, but nowhere nears as sharp as the PS4S can be when it's warm.

Cold weather makes these cars BREATHE! Im in Southeast Florida, so we don't participate in the cold weather thing till at LEAST January. Im jealous of all the temperature posts I'm seeing that are in like the 60s lol

We had a cool snap with low humidity a few days ago. We have some more on the way.

I have no idea what an E85 tune feels like since it's nowhere to be had in my region. But these cool dry mornings give me a very good idea.

A Gen3 Coyote absolutely "RIPS" on days like this.

Cool weather plus E85 would be nirvana!
