I was one of the underwhelmed guests at Embassy. Rooms were nowhere close to a top tier hotel and what I have experienced in prior stays at Embassy. At $150 a night you should not have to bounce from room to room due to lack of maintenance. The list goes on, but that's the readers digest version. The track event however, was top notch! Just landed in Detroit so will add more detail later. To answer your question about sub 12 sec 1/4 mile...not in my group. Mid 12's is what I saw. What weren't they happy about?
Anybody run a sub 12 second 1/4 on your day?
Ditto on the mid 12’s in my group. I don’t have my slips in front of me (11 of them!). Think I hit 12.3 something once. It really hooked up in 3rd gear and hit mid 120’s every time.I was one of the underwhelmed guests at Embassy. I did, and I’ll have to look at the thumb drives when I get home.So glad you had good weather and a great time, Don.
Did you get the RaceKeeper option and if so, time for a new avatar? :-)
Everyone knows I only wear a white hat in my neck of the woods.Well that answers the question "what hat would you wear, a black hat or a white hat"?
Zamp confirmed that the black RL-70E is special made for FPRS. To get one, the order would have to coincide with a larger production run--i.e., pure luck.Same helmet just a different color to distinguish the instructors.
What about when you venture out of town, to a place like (shreik) Texas?Everyone knows I only wear a white hat in my neck of the woods.

Tom: The hat goes where I go, it’s been all over. The Vegas strip was probably the most fun. The hat has stories. No one that I know of down here would care, Tom, we just like hats. :-) Problem is, it's too hot for at least half the year to wear one.

I wouldn't want to offend you.... I have a (sort of) funny story about my brother in law that attended pilot training at Vance AFB OK 10 years before me. When you are sitting down, let me know.Tom: The hat goes where I go, it’s been all over. The Vegas strip was probably the most fun. The hat has stories.
KB: I definitely fit in, in Texas. But I must have a head of steal, because I can wear it no matter the ambient temp.
