Hello,

This dealership is touting itself as a Shelby American Authorized dealer. I am looking for a dealership when I need to take my '18 GT350 in for service. I purchased in WI and live in MO. Anyone have either knowledge of this dealership or another in the KC area that you trust/like?

Shelby American is a different beast than FoMoCo.

Different companies, different products. It can be confusing.

Edit: If it’s Ford dealer that’s also a Shelby American dealer, and they’ve been around for a while, chances are they know their stuff.

4.5 stars from over 1,300 reviews on Google is a good start but as always- due diligence is a good thing.

They have a Nice used 2019 GT350 I've been looking at, price was recently reduced again, has been there since June, only 2.2K miles, seems like a deal. KC is about 500mi. from me in Denver so can easily drive it back in a day.
Can't imagine anything wrong with it, but if you do go and can check it out for me I'd appreciate it.

Welcome to the KC area. Born and raised in KC Missouri and still visit family when the opportunity presents itself. I have no direct experience with the KC dealership scene for almost 3 decades. However, I can state a couple of items that may be helpful as second hand knowledge from family and acquaintances that still live in the area. First regarding Crossley Ford (medium size dealership), they have been a family owned dealership since the 70’s and have no specific negative issues. Second a larger dealership in the area that also has been around for years is Thoroughbred Ford (high volume dealership) and they have been known to be flexible with pricing. Finally, I would avoid Blue Springs Ford (small size dealership) as they are not known for their pricing or service department. Just my 2 cents, and again welcome to the city...

How does flexibility with pricing indicate the quality of the dealership? Any business for that matter.

Thanks. I have lived in KC for 25 years. I just purchased my GT350 in WI as I got a hell of a deal on a new '18 in April of this year. I usually avoid dealerships, but with the warranty I want a place that is good with these cars.

Valid points. I suppose with regards to having warranty work performed on a vehicle, the only item that truly matters is the service manager that writes up your work order, and ultimately the mechanic that actually performs the work on the particular day(s) the car was scheduled with a positive outcome.

You may want to consider joining the local Mustang club in KC. For a $20 membership, it appears that the club offers a lot of events including a monthly meeting on the 3rd Sunday of each month. There should be club members who are familiar with the area dealerships as well as any other resources to service your car...

I bought my 2018 GT350 brand new and have been going to Bob Allen Ford (9239 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66212). I had 3 services done there and did not have any issues.
