So many hood strut choices, which one is the best?

Been looking at Roush, Steeda, Redline, Ford Performance, etc etc... So far the Roush looks to be the better of the contenders (and most expensive). They are showing sold out at CJ Pony parts.

If it didn't come down to cost, which one do you guys like? Where would you buy them from?

I just installed Steeda Hood Struts this week. They were easy to install. The brackets for the hood are really sturdy and the whole kit seems well engineered.

Those do look awesome, their website says they fit up to 2017 MY. Has anyone tried to install them on the 18-20s?

I ordered the Ford Performance struts (still waiting on them). Honestly, I picked them because they were affordable. Hopefully it doesn't end up being a "you get what you pay for" scenario.

It's your money, so do what you want...........but I do not understand looking to save $30.00 on a $40,000 plus car. In addition, I've read numerous threads on here over the past 5 years regarding hood struts and guess what. You do get what you pay for.

I hear ths analogy a lot, especially on the Corvette forum..You spent $80k on a car and only want to spend $5k on the wheels, instead of these $10k wheels that I like. If we all lived by that, there would be no such thing as something decently priced. Every thing is not worth the same to everyone.....and there "should" be nothing wrong with that.

I chose Steeda on a previous car because of the bracket/pad touch, and their support in this forum. I'd have liked a bit of identification on the body of the struts, like a couple of others (Ford Performance, for example), so I distinctivised them with shrink tubing. Have yet to install the Steeda ones on the new car. Contemplating how to make them distinctive and match the color scheme—Magnetic Metallic and Orange.

I have the steeda and like everyone else they have been working very well for 2 years. I would buy them again.
