List 65,885, now priced 58,780. Options, stripe, electronics pk, exposes carbon fiber, and leather trimmed seats. It's white.
Considering the times, what would you offer for it ? I'm 2 hours away and need to make only one trip.
Any tips appreciated.
It would be a daily driver. Is the oil thing a consideration ?

Personally, I think that is more than fair. Don't worry about the oil thing anymore. Mine has barely used any and I drive the crap out of it.

TL;DR That's a good deal and you likely won't pay much less.

I've been dealing on two cars over the last week. One, they had listed as "call for price", so I thought that meant 'too low to show'... nope, they gave me a story about how it was $10k over MSRP, "Ford Performance, rare car, blah, blah, blah...", but now the manager is ready to deal! Had every option except painted roof, including Ruby Red, so similar MSRP to the one you're dealing with. I offered $59k and they said "that's under invoice, and we've NEVER heard of a GT350 sell for less than invoice." I gave them my limit and they said they had to get invoice for it, which is $62k. Sorry, nope.

Still working on the other car for $59k, waiting on the answer. Before the pandemic, they said $61,500 was as low as they can go. Should know today.

If those fail, there are a handful of cars online listed for $59k or less with the options/colors I want, and I'm not against having a car shipped.

Again, based on my anecdotal experience and research, if white is what you're looking for, that's a pretty good deal.

Do you want white? That’s the only question. $58k seems like a good price. You can try and offer less it never hurts to ask.

I'd offer $55k it's not unheard of for $10k discounts. I got $5k off my 2019 R on Jan 4th before this shit show started.

Do you have a copy of the Window Sticker which may determine how long this vehicle has been sitting around between the FRAP and the dealership which may or may not help you with your negotiations.

In other words if this an early built 2019 car or a late built car with simple items such as the battery may have to be replaced or ask for an oil change etc. therefore bring some of these issues up during negotiations.

Also what kind of doc fees does this dealership charge as I have purchased GT350R's with no doc fees and up t0 $400 whereas some dealerships may charge up to $900 for doc fees and in fact I have seen higher?

I remember back in 2018 when a member of this forum purchased the very last Base R model of the 135 cars assembled in total as production had ceased after April 30th, 2018 and he was able to purchase that R model at close to ~$6000 below MSRP and that was their listed sale price.

Bottom line is confirm some of the above issues after which time make them an offer that you are comfortable with and the worst case scenario is that they say no deal.

Good luck and let us know how you make out!

:)

Offer $55k/$56k and see what they say. Worst they can say is no... Or can see if they can knock some off of the extended warranty or throw in some gt350 accessories...

Be professional first and foremost. If your serious and your going to finance let them run your credit and know you have the ability to purchase it. Even if you can do better at your own financial institution it could be a bonus for them to do the financing and in turn help you on price. You can always move the loan after you get your tags and it won’t affect your credit or finance amount. Also, even if they don’t move initially knowing you are set and solid they will most likely come back a day or two later and meet you some where in the middle. Going straight to a sales manager is generally what I do. Being professional is key, so many act like arseclowns when buying a car. Dealers are use to that and generally dismissive of that type of customer. Best of luck!

Make sure it’s the car you want, including all options. If that’s your exact desired spec then that’s a great deal but Like others have mentioned I’d offer 55 or 56. Tell the. You’ll close the deal by Thursday.

you’re only a few days from the end of the month in a month that has been... less than ideal for dealers.

if it’s not your exact spec keep looking. There are a lot of 19’s still floating around.

Yes, there may be a very few brand new 2019's still out there but how many are just 2 hours away from you which would allow the all important inspection of these vehicles prior to taking delivery.

After taking delivery of a few of these cars myself over the years I really encourage a personal inspection of the vehicle that you are purchasing as in the long run you will be happy that you did.

Hell, I’d offer $53k, a package of TP, 1 mask, one hand sanitizer and a package of Purdue chicken breasts ... honestly do it and see what reaction you get with the Salesman... can’t hurt.

Let us know how it goes.

Cargurus will tell you how long a car has been for sale, even if it has moved between dealers.

I used that during my hunt. When dealers would say silly things like "this is a rare car and in high demand" I would point out that it has been for sale for over 240 days, and I don't have time to play games it usually shuts them up and then I ask for their best deal.

I just picked up my 2019 last week. I worked thru a similar price on a GT350 with electronic pkg, handling pkg, leather seats and car cover. I was just over $7K under MSRP and am very pleased with my purchase. My car was at a small dealership in a small town and it had been there last summer and they wanted it gone.

If you offered $58K flat, they should jump on it. You could start out at $56K or something if you like. I tried $57K a couple of times and got no where. But, 2020 is the last year for the GT350 and Ford has announced they are ending production. Demand from people on the fence is going to increase and more than one car I was watching got pulled off the market because the dealership owners decided to keep the car.
