How I wish Ford had offered the traditional "GT-500 + the stripes" on the side in painted form. I would have jumped on that in a heartbeat.

But you can see why Ford didn't, the body styling is very good for looks but not so good for stripes and text.

Your car has been released from the plant for shipment. Now all you need is someone to receive the car and get it shipped out.

What are the chances someone is around to have it shipped? Ford gave the dealer eta of March 31.

The car has been released from Ford for shipping. It is now sitting in the lot across the street from the plant waiting to be received by shipper, as far as I know the people handling the shipments are not affected by the plant closure. If anything, they will have more time to ship the cars already released. The virus is still the great unknown variable, it is anyone's guess as too how this will affect the transportation industry. We will just have to wait and see.

The delivery info was sent to me by the dealer in California. It included a partial printout of "Produced" as of 3/6/2020; and a Delivery ETA of April 16-22 which is obviously out the window now. I called Tony @ Ford Performance Info line and they don't have any different info, except that he confirmed that with the closing of Flat Rock until March 30th the published delivery is not going to be accurate.

Michigan issued a stay at home order today that will last at least 3 weeks. I’m going to assume building cars isn’t critical and that’s further delays in this cursed car. Sucks for everyone involved - workers, dealers and buyers.
