Has any one found where you can add your own SIM CARD in it ?
I have a couple extra cards that are for data only that are unlimited for Verizon and would love to be able to use one in my car
Any help would be awesome

Interesting, never heard of a SIM being used in our cars. I presume you mean for use of the WiFi hotspot? Our system only uses AT&T so do not know how that would work.

yes for WIFI
I have read where some people switch to Verizon after trial so I was not sure
if it is 3G you don't need a SIM CARD but for 4G LTE you do

The TCU/modem has no SIM tray. Everything is soldered to the board.

doesn’t stop anyone with soldering skills to modify the board or what is soldered to it, right?

If the SIM is soldered to the board, what’s to stop anyone from removing the SIM and replacing the SIM with a SIM socket or tray - this way any SIM could be used?

I’m sure that sounds simple - but most likely isn’t a simple hardware mod and additional software programming would be needed as well...

Anyone know where the TCU/modem is located in 19 mustang? Part #? I’m thinking off trying to add this feature to my car.

Owners of 19’ Bullitt’s have asked the same thing as their cars do not come with the modem. The answer from Ford was no. Even if you were able to locate the parts there is no way to activate it.
