I figure one of the most likely explanations for Limousine-level tint is that the occupants are so ugly they'd rather not be seen. I am very grateful for their forbearance.
That makes sense but I always assumed it was to hide the nose picking.

I'm not all that senior yet, 54 years, but I love me some stripes and chrome. If I could get chrome stripes, I'd be thrilled.

I'd support the negative on a big wing. I actually like no wing, I think the body lines look awesome without one.

And "stancing", with negative camber and super low ride-height, or wheels that stick out past the fenders.

I'm very thankful that in general I like a stock appearance. If not, I'd spend too much money I don't have on the car.

And as an older gent, I do like the chrome trim that can be applied around the side windows, that really looks Aston Martin tasteful to me, on the right colored car. I'd guess the younger folks aren't interested though.

I agree with you about the chrome trim and was one of the features that attracted me to the Bullitt. It was the mid ‘50s cars that really went crazy with chrome. It would cost a fortune if you had to totally re-chrome one of those babies. In those days the cheaper models had less chrome so I suppose that stigma stays with us - same for whitewall tires and poverty hubcaps... Bruce

Pigeons would love this one, better keep a lot of rags and detailer handy
I'm personally struggling with the OEM "swing" on the new 2019 models...

Fair enough. Some places being

Point taken  . That probably didn't occur to me because NJ does not permit windshields and front side glass to be tinted . . . not beyond what they accept for OE production anyway. And the sun never gets quite as direct when there's something like another 15 degrees of latitude involved.

Perhaps there's a middle ground where the driver is masked but not totally obscured and where outward visibility for seniors (as in, this thread) isn't compromised to the same extent as with, say, tint approaching limo-level.

Norm
35% is that middle ground.

That sounds a bit dark to me, though I suspect it varies with the individual a bit.

Does anybody know what % OE windshield and front side glass actually is (probably a range).

After I got pulled over by a cop and issued a summons for 40% tint, I had it removed and had the tint.shop test the factory side glass.
It read 80%
Then had the legal.max in NY installed. 60%
