I ended up installing both the Pmas and VMP tune today. Go for a drive 70 outside and at idle it reaches 106 IAT's and climbing. I don't remember at all before going that far up at idle in traffic especially 70 outside. Normally driving around I looked at it a few days so I have to look at it as im driving home but normal driving its only 7-12 above ambient so will see once im driving around how this intake does. Im hoping its not much higher. The 106 IAT's and climbing shocked me.

By the looks of the thing are you that surprised? It's basically an open air filter with not much blocking the heat from the engine bay.

Wait till you see IATs in the 140s this summer
Im use to seeing high IAT's was surprised it was that big of a difference at idle. Once you get moving it drops pretty quick. Car just a couple of full throttle runs feels a little better then before. Will see how it goes on my way home today and see once im moving how the IAT's look at certain speeds.

Well at idle there's no air movement, and the open element air filter can only ingest hot engine bay air. When moving, alot of fresh ambient air is drawn into the intake so it offsets that somewhat.

106 ain't nothing. Wait till summer and it hits 150's. Mine does that without any issues at all. Nothing to worry about.

Car pulls timing around 115 degrees. Fyi.
I floored it coming to my house IAT's was past 115 it didnt do to well kinda sluggish. I guess when your up to speed or already going past 40mph and have some airflow it will pull well but off stop and go and you go full throttle or driving around town slow and not getting enough airflow and its a tad slow. Is what it is just gotta deal with the pros and cons of it. When your past 60mph its only 5-10 degrees above ambient.

Now imagine going from a dig or in a staging lane with pulled timing due to an open element intake. Sealed box designs will outperform, and on the 2018 up models the stock airbox flows so well that its actually pointless to replace them on NA cars.

The diameter of the 2018 intake is a little larger than the 2015
