Diode dynamic demon eye install

Hey so I’ve been looking at the diode dynamic demon eyes and saw the install requires bumper removal but I’m pretty sure I could get the job done without it. Just wanted some opinions from people who have installed it.

I looked at the car and the cover I need to take off faces the inside of the car. On the passenger side I could easily get to all the bolts to remove it. After removal though it would be at an angle but I figure with a mirror (possibly even without it) and a short/medium magnetic screwdriver i could take out the one screw required to install the bracket. If I can do the passenger side all I have to do is remove the air box on the driver side and I would have enough clearance.

Also I would be doing all new wiring and not tapping into the headlights.

I did the Demon Eye install with new switchback DRLs. Taking the bumper off isn't as daunting of a task as it might seem. Just jack the car, take the wheels off and put down a blanket and have some help because its just a little cumbersome to handle alone. The new no bake demon eye should be a piece of cake with the headlights out. Not sure how easy it would be with the headlights still installed.

I bought the Demon Eye kit too, but have yet to install it. I have taken the bumper cover off though, and it is fairly straight forward. I didn't lift the car or take off the wheels so the bolt in the wheel well was a bit of a pain. I bought the Quik-Latch so that isn't a problem any more. Your description seems much more difficult then just taking the cover off. In my opinion.

Yeah, I have no idea how you could get to the plate to place the LED portion into the headlight without them being out. In order to get them out you have to take off the bumper

Do they throw light further then stock? On my 18 PP1 would have thought they would throw light better. They are bright just dont throw light very far.

No they're not that bright.. only bright at night

1. Youre making it way too difficult for yourself, just drop the bumper. As mentioned, its not that big of a deal, and no you dont even have to jack the car up OR take the wheels off. You can do it by yourself with a screwdriver and a socket set.
2. Demon Eyes glow, not project. However they can be very bright which depends on how you correctly place them. The kit you have probably can only get placed one way based on how its installed from the rear. However when you actually find hte best projection angle for the LEDs to shine into the projector bowl (usually on the bottom of hte projector, not the top). Youll find it will shoot the glare\beam of light up\straight compared to down onto the ground. This hitting the eyes of people get their attention much better and it is more obvious you have a glowing lens. Ive also added two led boards which double the brightness\output.

I was able to remove the front bumper with my five year old son in about 20 minutes. It's just a few screws along the bottom, and two in the wheel wells. A right angle drill with a socket adapter is helpful, but not really needed. Just do it the right way.

Where did you guys wire up your wires for the demon eyes? The way I wired them the only work if the car isn’t running.

Mine are powered by the DRL gill lights.

Looks like you have a '19, which the wiring may be different for the '15-'17 models, but I've attached the wiring instructions for the '15-'17.
