Hello fourm,
Just went from the stock 235/50/18 rims and tires to a 275/40/18 set up. I don't care about speedometer re calibration but what I care about is miles are being put of faster due to reduction of the sidewall. So technically there are miles being put on that im not driving. The dealership can not fix this so I'm coming to here. Is there a tool like the whipple flare or something that can fix this. I have a 2019 Mustang GT.

7.5 mm difference in sidewall 110mm for the 275 and 117.5 mm for the 235 . Ford can recalibrate and maybe can be done with scan tool but not sure ?

no they cant, brought it in today. They said the could, they couldnt. Looks like the only way to do it is with a whipple flare tool

I know this isn't a solution to your problem but I don't think this issue is all that big of a deal. Your tire diameter is only off by 2.2% so if your odometer says you traveled 100,000 miles, you will have actually driven 97,800 miles. That's not that far off.
If you're planning to keep this car forever....then who cares. If you plan to have fun with it and then sell it later, 2.2% mile difference will not affect resale value at all.

You make a valid point, if it increases at that rate, it's not worth the money. I also found out even the whipple flare tool doesnt work on 2018/2019 models. 2.3k (fake miles) at 100k is not bad what so ever. That super slow haha

Exactly. I went through this same thought process when I bought new wheels and when I actually multiplied out the miles, it was negligible. Nothing to worry about sir
