Does anyone have experience of these springs (as supplied by Ford Performance) with stock wheels and shocks?

In particular, I'd be interested to know how they are with typical UK speed bumps (I regularly drive into West London which is full of the things!). The drop is only 1" so I think they'd be OK.

Cheers

I’ve also got the Ford approved eibachs, still a nice smooth ride, no harshness or bounciness while driving and much improved stance, even with the Maxton Design front splitter I’ve never hit a speed bump

Thanks for the feedback? Anyone have these springs with spacers? What’s a good combo?

Cheers

25mm spacers all round seem to be the ones if you’re running Pirelli’s still but I went with 20mm items as the Michelin’s have a wider sidewall, I have heard these catch a couple of times on the wheel arch liners at the rear on big bumps in the road so glad I didn’t go for the 25mm ones as it would be like back in the day of when I had a Vauxhall Corsa lowered like 100mm on 17” Wheels! Scrub city!

Loads of photos of mine on the magnetic photos thread.

i have 20mm on the rear, 23mm up front. It’s perfect imo with the stock wheels and tires. Always get a lot of compliments...

25mm on the pro kit springs does mean the tires poke out just a touch, depends where you stand really. It matters to some not to others, but i’m very happy with how mine sits.

EDIT: worth highlighting that anything thinner than 25mm spacers, and you'll need to trim a few mm from the end of the studs. GT101 did mine.

Just found the official DfT regulations on speed humps. They must be no less than 25mm and no more than 100mm (4 inches) in height. I suspect most are closer to the higher number (and I reckon some authorities cheat and go higher still!)

So, the 6 million dollar question is, how much ground clearance do you guys have with the Eibachs? What about with a passenger and some luggage?

Cheers

There’s way more to it than the height of the bump - consider road angle and imperfections on either side of the bump and how they interact with wheel base and overhangs ... :frown:
