LOL those appear to be from an embargo video by one of the Dutch national newspapers Algemeen Dagblad (check https://www.ad.nl/ to compare the logo) :D

How many different names does this thing have???
Now we see a “MACH-E 4 X”....
There may be a different type designation for export markets. The images are from a Dutch video and the car in it appears to be export spec (clear taillights).

None of this makes any sense, without a top-down approach. Ford needs to announce a list of upcoming cars and the technology they are using, otherwise this Mustang Mach E stands alone, not part of anything forward thinking...

Always drop a halo car 1st.... and tuck the affordable ones down tier from it.

Raptor F150
GT500 Mustang
RS Focus

Again, the Mustang Mach E has no company and is a bastard product, because Ford is hanging it out there, and we have no clarity on WTF is going on....

I normally do not like to rush weekends but I cannot wait until 9:00PM to see this vehicle and more importantly hear exactly what Ford has to say about it and the decision to name it Mustang.

This interior looks like it took about two seconds to sketch out. The center display looks like one of those touch screen order boards at McDonald's.
I hope the executives at Ford read this.

It as if they said hey, let makes an Electric Vehicle and throw out everything we know about ergonomics, hand-eye/muscle memory and Aesthetics... and toss years of Driver experiences & education out the window..! And laugh about boomers... and stick a big cellphone on the dash, because these younger kids drive with their cellphones in the face anyways...

I see this car's interior design as an insult to me & my peers. Did Ford actually take any real men into their focus group for this Mach E... or did they exclude meat eating males..?

This heap is everything a mustang is NOT. Ford , unveiling an electric MUSTANG tonite would have been awesome , and I would have been extremely excited about it! Unveiling this atrocity and calling it a Mustang is an EPIC failure. Who is running Ford and making these decisions? Perfect chance to make a huge statement to the entire world. Instead we get this.

I think the reality is it’s not just Ford that follows those trends. I think it was a smart move for them to knock the car lineup if it’s not adding to the bottom line in the US market. Yeah it sucks I can’t consider a new Focus ST/RS at some point but I rather have Ford crank out trucks and SUV’s than go belly up.
Ford cut too much too fast. One sedan model somewhere in the middle should have been retained, with a decent expectation that it would sell at somewhere around the total of at least the two closest to the middle (somewhere in the few hundred thousand units/year range).

If Ford ever does go trucks and SUVs/CUVs only, with the Mustang either gone or priced out of reach, they'll already be dead as far as I'm concerned.

Agreed it’s not a real Mustang nor does it make sense to slap the pony badge on it. Something tells me as time passes this arguement will go the way of the Panamera not being a real Porsche. We can’t change it, so I’ll continue to enjoy the real deal and make my judgments about this model once it has some time on the market.
The Porsche comparison fails in part because individual Porsche models own their own identities. That keeps individual model identities strong and undiluted.

If the Mach e survives as a Mustang, just what image will the name "Mustang" evoke ten or fifteen years from now? Sporty ponycar or just another people-mover?

To the poll itself, the Mach e wouldn't make any difference to me if I was shopping specifically for a ponycar. It'd be just another CUV that I wouldn't waste any time looking at.

If I was shopping for a car other than a ponycar, the Mach e would not influence me to shop at Ford, where there already isn't anything else I'm interested in.
