I just purchased a 2019 Mustang Gt with the Performance Pack 1 black 19 inch rims. My question is how does other members who have the same rims clean the inside of the rim aka the barrel? There is no way my hand fits so im wondering whats the next best thing?

When I rotate the tires, change the oil or any other reason that causes me to remove the wheels form my car, I will clean the inside of my wheels. As far as I know that's the only time.

Wheel Woolies are a PP1 wheel owners friend.

Use the smaller one to reach right into the inside of the wheel, the larger one is great for cleaning between the spokes.

Thanks for that. Funny thing is I ordered 3 of them the other night on ebay, thinking to use them the same way....I prefer to be able to stick my hand back in there to make sure its clean but hopefully these will work!

They will. When I want my car to be 100% clean, I move the car forward or back until the wheels rotate 180deg. Then I continue with the "second half" of the barrels and tire shine because it's easier that way.

This ^

I've become obsessed with cleaning these wheels. I use the wheel woolies as above, but not for the barrels. I use the tiny one (smaller than the one pictured above) to get in the corners around each spoke, then the small one for the "triangle" gaps, then the big one for the larger gaps & the wheel face. Probably excessive but it does work well.

Haven't yet found a perfect solution for the barrels, but I currently use a brush like this (below). It has the tendency to flick you with product if you're not careful and move it too fast - the brush is wider than the gaps, but does a good job on the barrels IMO.

I use wheel woolies and the speedmaster brushes on client's cars. Also a large boar's hair brush for the faces of the wheel.

Ceramic coating the wheels/barrels will make cleaning easier, FYI.

I just added this to my cleaning kit.

This Gyeon brush is the smaller of two available. It's still a bit of a squeeze for the PP1 wheels and rotors but does a good job and is handy for cleaning the brake calipers too.

I bought these on eBay for a total of $12.00 and not $50.00. Both are 17 inches long and are microfiber.
