I want to thank everybody that responded with info on the 18-19 GTs. From the looks of things, it seems that a lot of people are still having issues with the engine rattling and ticking noises. Several of you have posted about it on this thread alone. Even if those noises turn out to be harmless, hearing that would drive me nuts. So, I think I am going to hold off on the Mustang for now. The Camaro is running fine for now. The fluid changes have at least temporarily fixed the car. If it continues to give trouble, I can always look into getting back into a Stang later, maybe a 20 model. Hopefully Ford finds a way to put a stop to the noises. Thanks Again Everyone.

I wanted to show you guys something i haven't noticed on my 19 GT PP1 since i bought it, until today. Check out the picture! Ive had the car a couple of months. Washed it many times, waxed it, ceramic coated it etc and i never noticed the difference in paint color until today. Typically, i would be livid about this but for some reason im not. It is hard to see in most lighting.

my '17 V6 had something very similar as did my Frontier. I think it has to do with metal vs plastic being the underlying surface. It's too expensive to prime all parts with a consistent base coat I guess.

They also have to add a flex agent to the paint and clearcoat which changes the color slightly. All of our bumpers come in already painted.

There will ALWAYS be a difference between plastic painted parts and metal parts. This can be more obvious on cars with matalix or pearl in the color as it tends to settle in plastic parts and "float " in metallic parts. This makes bumpers and such look flatter in some lighting. No amount of additional prep will change this. Trust me i deal with this issue all the time, its something i point out before people get their cars fixed so they dont expect the body shop to deliver something they didn't have in the first place.

Can you explain the SS clutch being annoying? I was hoping it was better than the Mustang's.
I test drove a 2018 1LE and the clutch was hard to predict the engagement point.

If I were you, I would go ahead and take your car in for the shudder. Let them do the new fluid flush on it. It does fix the issue at least temporarily. My shudder has not come back yet and it has been around 2K miles since I had the flush done. If you don't get it done, it will get worse and your torque converter will be damaged and you will end up having to replace that sooner than later too.
Didn't bother with it, made the jump this weekend. Base GT, Velocity Blue. Not looking back.

That VB is so nice lol..

as for issues I've got just under 1,100 miles and ive heard the "tick" every so often when I start the car, last for maybe 2-3 mins and goes away. this motor loves to flirt at the red line. Also, the A10 is a monster.

My 19 GT has been fine. I enjoy it. I really like it, but there are a few things that are bothersome.

- 2000 rpm rattle, which is probably DI: whatever
- Tick/knock at low rpms: goes away with Ceratec
- interior rattles since 7 miles: disappointing but no surprise
- this is the big one now...have a mild vibration at ~100mph and dealer won’t touch it because they don’t want to drive it that fast even though there is unrestricted autobahn like 4 minutes from the dealer: I feel like this will never get fixed unless I do it myself
- brakes already pulsate at 9000 miles: I do drive pretty fast so it’s no surprise, but disappointing
- paint is trash: hood probably needs a repaint from 6 months of 120mph stone chips
