[?] '18 Intake Manifold on '15-'17

Manual in 5th gear. I asked Lund about getting a different airbox and Dakota told me there isnt really a need to go away from stock airbox. Plus im hesitant with open element filters because I used to have a roush intake and it almost hydrolocked my engine because the rain was soaking the filter

Outerwears pre-filter for that issue. Not sure why Dakota is telling you that. He's right on stock manifold but not for this.

Im not sure why either, but I left it on anyway. I didnt think about that pre-filter at the time. I’ll probably bite the bullet and get a JLT.

FWIW, 423 whp here w/ GT350 CAI and 93 tune. It's got the best hood sealing out of all the open boxes. The pre-filter is only $30. I just added mine recently.

If the 15-17 stock intake was the same size of the 2018+ stock intake, I could see the argument about keeping the stock intake with a drop in. It's not though. The 2018 manifold is capable of flowing more air through so you need to be able to pull in more.

I need to get mine on the dyno after I'm done messing with emissions and inspection.

Yes. I used it just as it is. Fits well, you just have to angle it down slightly, but no issues with gaps or sealing.

I love my JLT. I really had a lot of concerns like most being in a hot climate and a non closed intake. Just the other day my IAT was at 124 degrees while idling for a good 4-5 minutes while it was 92 outside. My fans kicked on and my IAT's started to drop some which is great and unexpected. I'm really not worried about the idle IAT's like a lot of people are saying. Once you get moving though, this intake is amazing and smooth.

Ive been on two different dynos, but the one i posted on here earlier was a different one. This one and my first dyno are the same one. heres the results from the first time i dyno’ed
Mods for the attached pic are SP 1 7/8 catless to 3” ATAK, a high flow drop in, and Lund tune

This is correct. One day I’ll have headers again whenever i get another car to daily
