I received my VIN# in about 3 weeks.

No. I regularly emailed them to bug them and they had no answers. At the time I was trying to use the COTUS website with just an order number and dealer code, but the COTUS site went down just before my dealer finally gave me a VIN. Once I got the VIN, I promised not to bug them. And I haven’t. The whole exercise has been one that needs much patience. The PP2’s seem to require vastly more patience than other stangs.

Ordered my PP2 on January 29th. Just got my VIN today. Estimated delivery date is May 31st. Scheduled build is week of May 6th.

You can try bugging them all you want.....wont matter though. I got to a point where I just stopped communicating with mind until the eta for delivery got within a few weeks.

After 32 weeks look who showed up. The dealer couldn’t give me a date so I found a bullitt at a local dealer. Torn between the two. Both beautiful but the Bullitt is here at home in the garage and she is a beauty.

Oh my gosh - wow - had you been tracking your old build that just arrived? And it took 8 months? Were you involved in the steering wheel issue? My dealer is waiting on two identical to mine to show up sometime....
Personally I think the one you bought instead is really cool. What a crazy situation!

I was tracking it but week after week the status hadn’t changed. The dealer didn’t have a date and then it just showed up today.

Thanks for the info, I am wondering if that will be the same for my ordered car - it will just show up one day. Maybe the tracker is not working for mine either. No matter anyway cuz I am thrilled with the one I have instead now!

How often should you be asking for a VIN this early in the game? Once in March, twice in April, then weekly until you have a VIN.

A dealer who doesn't have allocation problems, can usually give you your VIN in 2-3 weeks. More than that, they just ordered it as a normal car, not a special build. So it takes way more time to get everything done.
