Like the title says. How many 3.15 gear A10 whipple cars or swapped for the track? Is it worth the swap. I have 3.55 and am only looking for high 9's street car not race car...

I haven’t had a chance to get to the track yet, but I have 3.15’s. With all that power from the whipple, I think it’ll work well.

What blower? I run a Procharger and 3.55 gears. Mid 9s all day long.
Thanks for pointing this out btw. Good to know you didn't have to gear down your pp car with your setup.

i had 3:55 on my pp1 paxton 760 rwhp 10r80 and switched to 3:15 , couldn't be happier i could actually take advantage of the power band more 3:55 are way to aggressive for boost .

Id just get a torque converter and maybe launch in 2nd. Although idk much, but I think that may be better overall. Anyone try that?

Nah the best gears are 3.15 for the track. Start in second end in 6th. A converter will just make it better.

What about 3.31 ‘s with the A10(Gen 5 whipple car expecting to trap mid 140’s) ?

I still have an iron assembly that was in my manual Kb car (swapped to 4.10’s eventually with the 2.66 Tremec )
If it’s not going to work , then a 3.15 read end assembly is cheap enough at $300 .

This all day. Fact is Steedas NA car has ran its fastest times with 3.15s makes it a no brainer for FI cars.

3.15s + converter + A10 = SEND IT.

On a side note as the car climbs the rpm band in my 2018 with 3.15s and the A10 it feels like a damn spaceship vs my 2016 with 3.55s and the A6 even with the CJ manifold on it too.

I absolutely cannot wait to get this car tuned on E85 once the roads dry up here which might take until like JUNE!! FML!!

Cannot wait to see more A10 cars with converter too.

I run 145mph in the 1/4. The 10 speed tames down 1st gear a tad and you can still get solid 60's with the 3.15's.

At the track haven't yet, I was told by some faster than me/already tried it that it would 60' slower and was too busy racing last fall to risk it. Lol
Mine hooks hard in 1st and goes 1.47's so there's no way leaving in 2nd was going to improve that.
However on the street, I leave in 2nd and it helps control the wheelspin and get me out...

I just sent my converter into Circle D this week and I will give the higher stall a shot at the track in 2nd this spring. That will be the better match.

Nice I think the second start with a converter will work well
