Sorry, I still don't understand. It was just my assumption that changing out the headers alone was almost 8 hours of labor. If the TT kits change both sides, would the labor not be 8 hours + the rest of the kit install time? Or am I missing something about these TT headers being significantly easier to install? Pardon the lack of knowledge, always looking to learn more!

A couple factors to consider: a shop that does numerous installs would not take 8hrs to install just headers. a weekend warrior doing it in his garage may take that long but all depends on experience and tools available. I can comment at a later date once I begin my install of my TT kit.

Im on the fence on what to save up for. Ideally I didn't want a kit under the car. Main concern is clearance with the under belly tray, melting the tray, debris flying under there and messing things up. I haven't paid too much attention to the turbos since my original plan was SC; however I am thinking turbo and be done with it (currently leaning towards Hellion). With the undermounts where are the filters located (most pics I have seen show no filters)? Under belly tray still fits? Melting? I know turbos get super hot (and the engine bay already gets super hot). Turbos cracking driving in the rain? Large puddles? My car is a daily and even when I get FI it is still a daily...I mean why not? I will drive in the rain, I will drive on dirt roads, i will drive wherever the car can make it.

Now I have read some testimonials...but they are moot since most of those reviews are from people driving their cars a few minutes a week or garage queens. If I am going on a long drive, I am driving it across country type of thing. AutoX, Track Days, Drags, road trips, etc...

Discuss...

Cant wait to see your results, did you go with 62's? I assume Ken is doing the tuning? Should be a beast!
Yessir, 62's. Ken B tune is loaded, going to start data logging and hit the dyno/strip asap.

I've built and owned twin and single turbo setups on older push rod fords and my preference after having multiple cars would be to have the turbos under the car as long as you have clearance and won't hit them on a speed bump. My twin setup I built was in a lightning and it was so hot under the hood even with blankets on the turbos. And wire close by turned hard and cracked any time I disassembled the setup for any reason. After owning superchargers cars, nitrous cars and turbo cars I prefer the turbo experience, but didn't like the heat issues I've had. I think having them under the car should do away with the heat in my opinion.

The turbos are more durable than you think. I've had them on motorcycles as well and they get wet and dirty and still perform. Think about diesel trucks. Those turbos are in terrible environments and last hundreds of thousands of miles. Most of my experience is based off of garret turbos so take it for what it's worth.

I am interested in the oilers turbo. I used some in the early 2000's on a motorcycle project and had mixed results. The idea is awesome though not having to run savage pumps if you do a low mount.
