I ordered my GT fastback on 2/18.. I haven't got the VIN yet. the order shows it was ordered for stock instead of retail with a priority of 80.. Should I be concerned about this? also has anybody written to Flat Rock assembly about taking a picture of their car rolling off the line? The only other new car I ordered was a Cavalier at the Lordstown, Ohio plant. they actually took a picture of a line worker holding the hood up with a copy of the build sheet, not exactly a Mustang, but pretty cool I thought. I was a dealership employee at the time. but does anyone think that Ford would do this?
Is that priority from your DORA? When I first was ordering mine, they had it as the same thing but it was just to show me that the options were all there. When they gave me the actual DORA it had a priority of 15 on it.

Almost a copy of mine. Only the engine and the color is different! I took Need for Green and the Ecoboost. 6 speed, PP, AE and Magneride are the same. Hope you can enjoy it for Independance Day!
Thanks so much. Have my fingers...and toes...crossed. The Need for Green is SO cool but for me it was just a bridge too far. If I got something THAT cool my family and friends would think I had a new personality and wasn't still the cautious old fart they know and love ;)

My EDD is now the 24th of March. It’s still in production, though.

Do you know if the 3 month delay is an official stance? Or just logical and assumed?
I ordered my PP2 in September. It's arriving next week. I also ordered a 2018 around September 2017 and it never got built.

Ordered 10/20/18
Convinced Dealer they needed “allocation” date: 1/10/19
“Just missed” scheduling for production so they waited over a month to get me my Production Day: 2/19/19
Stuck in production since the several weeks later date when they scheduled me to be built was one of the weeks without steering wheels lucky me!
3/14/19: Order will be canceled unless they can make this right. I don’t have the desire or patience to wait on Ford people to do their jobs, I did their work as much as possible (informing them about what “allocation” meant, telling them of the 3-week shutdown, letting them know I am built without a steering wheel, checking the tracker daily - I have my VIN memorized) and they still can’t follow through with any solid info on my car
Will begin a search for a non-Ford product this weekend

Thank you - had my heart set on a Mustang but I will be better off buying something that already exists. My husband has the dealer looking now for another Mustang he could obtain from a nearby dealer but the dealer just does not have the time it seems to get me taken care of. Hoping this poor customer experience is isolated to me because this is not something I would wish on any of y’all.

Ordered January 28th. Scheduled to be built week of May 6th. Now to see if it will be delivered in time to go to tail of the dragon with some friends who have a trip scheduled.

I really don't understand how Ford works. I've ordered mine on February 4th and it's scheduled to be built April 22nd.

I would guess it depends on the dealer you ordered through and what options you ordered.

Okay - need a group opinion - there might be a car almost exactly like mine that the dealer has found only it has the 19 inch polished aluminum wheels vs the 18 inch machine aluminum low gloss black wheels. Other than liking the looks of the black wheels, I live in Illinois where winters can be harsh. Any suggestions? Get the 19” wheels since this car may be available or wait for a car stuck in the steering wheel disaster? Same price because I am also giving up the enhanced security package and mini spare.

I like the polished alum wheels they usually come with the pirelli 40s. I think this is a $1000 option and maybe come with 3.55 since they are 19s. The alum wheels need polishing but look great.

Looks like they come with 3.15 limited slip standard and P255/40R19 W-rated tires - are these All Season tires? $1095 now

There is about 8 weeks from order to scheduling best case. Dealer allocation and priority are big factors. Parts availability don't seem to be widespread but the steering wheel strike really caused a problem for cars being built in a 3 week window. That is just really bad luck.

When you ordered, the first available week was April 08, but it seems one of the factors (or something else) caused it to wait to be scheduled 2 weeks later. Actually not that bad, all things considered.

Well I ordered my 19 PP2 on Sept 20th and I'm still waiting. The tracking system reports that I 8 days until delivery to dealer.
