You will be getting yours about the same time as I will (and a couple others). Keep in mind that about 3 months or so of your wait was because you are getting a PP2. They won't build/ship them in cold weather. So you are actually getting it on time.

Ruby Red was in the running for me. It looks great especially with the gun metal wheels.
My EDD is now the 24th of March. It’s still in production, though.

Do you know if the 3 month delay is an official stance? Or just logical and assumed?

Nothing official, just assumed based on every PP2 seen to be purchased from users on this site. It just makes logical sense since the SC2's are prone to cracking if the car is moved in sub-freezing temps. I think there were a couple very early ones last year that were out before warmer temps, but I believe that is when they learned to not ship them in the cold. Mine would have been done earlier if it was not a PP2 based on other non-PP2's ordered around or after my order date.

Pulled the trigger this week. Ordered my dream car. 2019 Mustang GT, Magnetic, 301A, 6-speed, Performance Pack 1, MagneRide, and Active Exhaust. Absolutely a mobile midlife crisis (or a little post-midlife, I'm 61 ). 6-speed will force my rookie friends to ride shotgun. Meant to be a pure driving car especially suited to Southern California perfect weather and zipping along twisting mountain roads. Went with Galpin, even though they are about 100 miles from my home, on the theory that they will have allocation strength. Plus they have been super helpful as I am ordering the car from overseas online. No info on VIN or related yet but hoping to have it in the garage by July 4th. Can hardly wait.

Trust me, it WILL be worth the wait.

Almost a copy of mine. Only the engine and the color is different! I took Need for Green and the Ecoboost. 6 speed, PP, AE and Magneride are the same. Hope you can enjoy it for Independance Day!

Dislike me all you want for laying out the truth. I get it that some don't like that since the truth can be painful sometimes. I have no debate on something like this not being a good experience and would not wish it on anyone, but to go through it and feel happy because they shipped my car to my house making me forgive what led to that does not make sense to me. Sorry, but it would take a lot more than a cuddle with the delivery guy who brought me my car.

As for the options and choices for ordering....with knowledge comes power......the dealership has all the knowledge which I hope is agreed that they only share what they have to. With that power they can manipulate you in several ways. They know you want the car so it is easy for them. You can only combat that by getting as much of what they know before you commit. I have no idea what other people do, but I go into buying a car like it is a battle. The outcome is based on how much you "let" the dealership get away with. If you don't equalize the playing field you can get burned.

I have said my peace so discuss it amongst yourselves.

Guypei, it bears repeating that I hope you can put the journey to your new car behind you and just enjoy it now that you have it. A Bullitt is a pretty special car, so if nothing else you can lean on that. I also hope you future car buying experience is better.
The good news is that if you don't like something with one dealer or car company you can vote with your dollars and go elsewhere. The only one that matters in this case is the 'guy' sitting in his new Bullitt! Steve McQueen would love that car!

So true except your delay is completely different to his. Ford did not want to ship yours because of a fender misalignment. That to me is a good thing. His was because his dealer could not tell the truth to him and just strung him along. In both cases communication on the delay was not great, but for his there is no excuse.

I really don’t want to go any further into this debate. I’m not standing up for the dealer but they did say they screwed up. With that said I was walking away and going to purchase the car directly from another dealer. I received the numbers which were high and went back to the dealer I had made my original purchase from. They were able to get the Bullitt from the dealer and was roughly $7000 cheaper. They’ve apologized time and time again and I believe they made it right. I’m happy I stayed with them with that kind of savings.

My GT just morphed into GT350. Hopefully no extra charge for that. Lol.
The other pictures look like what I ordered, though.

I ordered my GT fastback on 2/18.. I haven't got the VIN yet. the order shows it was ordered for stock instead of retail with a priority of 80.. Should I be concerned about this? also has anybody written to Flat Rock assembly about taking a picture of their car rolling off the line? The only other new car I ordered was a Cavalier at the Lordstown, Ohio plant. they actually took a picture of a line worker holding the hood up with a copy of the build sheet, not exactly a Mustang, but pretty cool I thought. I was a dealership employee at the time. but does anyone think that Ford would do this?

You should receive your VIN within 2-3 weeks. A priority of 80 seems like the dealer doesn't have allocation and it will be produced later than what you could expect from a dealer who can order it faster.
