That's unfortunate. I had ordered on August 17th and production was apparently the end of January. From there no one has an update as to when it will be shipped. I've talked to Ford performance, Ford Canada, local sales manager who talked to Ford rep, and they talked to others and don't have an update. I've walked away and getting a car locally. Hopefully you get answers and get your car soon!
Ouch! Was yours a PP2? I’m trying to figure out what is so rare that my car need 6 1/2 months to make.

So my September 7 order says 17 more days until it’s Shipped. But it’s not yet in production. I’ve had the VIN since November. How long are you guys seeing from “in production “ to actually delivered?

What is your blend date from the Windows Sticker? Also, is it a PP2?

@Brettski With the steering wheel that has been back order for 3 weeks, 8000 Mustang were built without a steering wheel. So in production can stay for 2-3-4 weeks more. Who knows how much. Let's just say that it delayed most order for about a month.

Nope, mine is/was a GT premium. This is week 30 with no end in sight I'm getting a Bullitt from a local dealer. The worst part of the experience is they tell you 6-8 weeks and once you get to 12 weeks you just start getting angrier with every passing week.

My salesman told me 8-10 weeks when I ordered it in mid-December but that was before the Great Steering Wheel Disaster. Now my car is "waiting for shipment" (Ford-speak for waiting for a steering wheel ?) and is supposed to arrive 15-21 March. Unless it is delayed again...

Ok it should be being built this week, so the parts shortage should not affect it. You should see the tracker update this week or early next. PP2's would not be built until this week anyway due to the SC2 tires. You have the same blend date as I do. You should chat with Ford Performance on Friday. They will most likely be able to tell you if you care is or was on the line being built.

No, if you're "waiting for shipment", you seem to have made it out of steering wheel purgatory.

If you're still in there (as I am), you get listed as "In Production" plus the date it came off the line without the wheel, and you can't depend on the EDD that's being shown. For example, my EDD has been 2/28 since my VIN went active in December. The tracker flipped me to "In Production / Produced 2/18/19" against my sticker blend date of 2/8, but the EDD has never changed. It dutifully counted down through 2/28 ("Your Mustang will be delivered in 1 day!"), and is now counting up, going from "delivered in 5 days" yesterday to "delivered in 6 days" today. Tomorrow, I expect it will increment to 7.

At least the folks at Ford Performance have stopped quoting 2/28 as the delivery day.

Thank you! Although I didn't wait long for mine, anyone who's still waiting just hang in there. It's SO worth it in the end. The feeling is great
