I just had the borla resonator put on mine and i absolutely love it. i have bbk catted and ataks. the resonator made it much deeper but it is almost stock quiet on the inside now.

I have the sport now. I was thinking about switching to the ataks with a resonator. If that doesn’t give it a bit noise then I’ll go to AWE touring.

How is the sound outside though?

2.5, you wouldn’t be able to hear any sound difference between the two of them. If you end up going supercharger the 3 is better

replaced the thermostat with a Reische 170*. I used a gallon zip-lock bag to catch what few drops came out after the stock thermostat was removed. No mess and no lost coolant. Both squeezing the radiator hoses and letting the car run with the heater on high and the coolant tank cap off still wouldn't get ALL of the air out. What little was left worked itself out promptly after a short drive. CHT's have been consistently in the 185 - 190 range...

Why install a 170 stat? Your engine fans are set to keep the engine at 190 unless you changed the settings with a tuner. A 170 stat will just make your engine take longer to warm up on a cold day.

The MagnaFlow resonator ended up being simply too quiet inside for my taste. Finally got the chance to remove it and replace it with a couple of the Vibrant 1792's. These things look almost too good to weld into an exhaust system! This is more like what I was after. Cruising is quiet, normal acceleration is good and deep without being too loud. Harder acceleration ups the volume quite a bit, but it's nothing like what it was with no resonator. Volume is reduced and the sound is cleaned up significantly. There's none of the harshness anymore.

I have AWE Touring (with H pipe) and I think it's the perfect system. Quiet inside whilst cruising, barks under foot when you want to. Quiet on a hot idle, cold starts are awesome, no drone.
